Not sure if this belongs in Bugs/Game Mechanics, for I never played a rogue on Live and wouldn't know if this is just the way it's always been.

Scenario:

* I sneak successfully.
* I hide successfully.
* I summon another player's corpse to me.
* In the process of turning/strafing to walk somewhere, I inadvertently click or release the right mouse button while it's over the corpse I'm dragging.
* Message: "You may not loot this corpse at this time."

At that point my Sneak/Hide has been broken because of the non-corpse-looting, but nothing gives me any hint as such. My character's still hidden, I'm still walking at Sneak speed, and everything appears as though I'm still okay.

I make a habit of conning mobs anyway to be safe, but in places like uguk sometimes I don't even realize what "broke" until I've died or zoned and saw that the inadvertent corpse-loot occurred.

Anyway, regardless of whether this is a bug or by design, thought it'd be a heads-up to newbie rogues who wonder why aggro might happen after walking unmolested for hours in a dungeon.

I've actually done this a couple times while invis and once it caused me to die. I played a caster on Live for years and I don't remember ever breaking my invis by accidentally looting my corpse while dragging. Though, I can't imagine what's different about how invis/drag/loot works that would make it not work correctly.

same here, i died in lguk retrieving corpses because of this. i never remember right clicking an unlootable corpse causing invis to drop. it makes mouse looking while invis very dangerous.
