Deity tradeskills - non Blacksmithing

Hi all,

I have a question regarding pottery and jewelcraft and their cultural counterparts - mainly deity specific jewelry and then the golden idols.

So - do they exist? I believe the 'imbue' line of spells have to exist for the cultural blacksmithing, and I know for a fact that iron oxide / permafrost crystals exist on this server - that covers the glaze.

The second part of this is the unfired idol - mind you, they have a trivial of 335 (except tunare, 242 represent). All components needed for the idol exist EXCEPT Celestial Essence - and it's marked as Velious-era content.

That being said - do we know if these recipes will be unlocked with velious? All their component materials will be available at that point. Quickly looking at the tradeskills here I don't see anyone going past like 168, but there IS a path to max it.

Also, has anyone tried deity specific tradeskills? On progression server it was about 50/50 on whether or not a specific recipe worked. Just wondering if anyone had tried here yet.

The below is taken from EQTraders which classifies recipes based on era's. That being said, it does not appear that the stuff you mentioned will be in p99(along with trivial of 335...Tradeskills here stop at 250 if im not mistaken)

None of your links pertain to JC and/or pottery. In fact, if you go to pottery, the idols in question are under 'imbued', with the next category being 'planes of power'

Also, just because something is 335 trivial does not mean that it is not craftable at 250. In fact, at 250 skill you have a 50.5% chance of success. On progression server these idols were about 2k each combine, and sold for ~10k - this more than makes up for the 50% craft rate plus all the work that goes into making the various components.

Do you have a source? I know we can't make any of it now, but if Celestial Essence is put in in velious (which it appears it may be) then all the components for the idols would be in-game.

Ok this happen to be a nice item and I happen to be a master potter. Couldnt find the recipe in eqtraders, guess is too soon since patch and there are a bunch of new recipes for them to work on. Also patch message talks about new books selling at NPC merchants, maybe recipe is there, maybe not, will try to find out.

Anyway, will be a great help if someone post the recipe and detailes to craft this item.

Posted May 2002. I would contend that the idol recipes were created in Luclin due to one of the idols being used in the protection of the cabbage quest in luclin. Also i'm at work so dont feel like digging through patch notes but guessing if you look at patches from april/may that time you will see what he is referring to.
