So I just got a new computer and installed Titanium (yes I do have a hard copy :p).
I use EQEmulator for launch so I went to change eqhost.txt file. For some reason it won't let me save the changes I am making to the file. I don't have Word installed on this system yet so I am having to use notepad for the time being. Everytime I change it and go to save it says...Access is denied. This doesn't make any sense to me considering I am the only user on this computer. I am using Windows 8 now, new for me, so I don't know if this has anything to do with it. Any suggestions?

I am the Administrator. That is why I am lost.

It comes up with a little window titled Notepad and says access is denied.

I have tried right clicking and don't have any options to run as administrator under open or edit.

pop up your start menu, in the Run window type 'notepad' but don't hit enter, you should see it appear in the list above - rightclick it and run as admin, then open the file manually

OR copy your Everquest folder to your desktop and use that one instead - it doesn't need to be in program files and has no dependencies as such

Thanks quido the copying to desktop idea worked. Funny thing about Windows 8, I had to download a program to get a start button on the desktop. Stupid Microsoft..

My pleasure - glad to have helped! I'm too scared to try Windows 8 still.

I don't think u gotta download shit. u just gotta switch desktop mode from "metro" (new) back to the classic shit
and then ur start bar turns into a big metro window from what I saw
From what I have read the only way to get a start button was through a download. Microsoft has learned their lesson though and are fixing this issue with Windows 8.1
