Hey guys, I'm Bean, a Level 17 Paladin currently residing in Unrest. A few months ago I had some serious trouble with my computer and only recently got it fixed, and since then I've been slowly rebuilding my game library and now I'm coming back to P99 to finish what I started with this character.
I'm seeking a leveling guild with people that I can get to know and group with regularly, and hopefully even raid with and complete my epic with in the future, mostly planar stuff. I do have a microphone and can download whatever chat program the guild uses to communicate, and most of my evenings are free at the moment. My goal on this character is to reach 46 to be able to zone into Planes, earn my Planar armor and eventually earn my Fiery Avenger, and perhaps the Fiery Defender afterwords (I have SoulFire at the moment). Other than those goals, I'm basically just looking to make friends that I can level, raid, and shoot the breeze with, and have a good time doing it.
I'm 24 years old, currently enrolled in a community college taking an emergency medicine course to become an EMT, and eventually a Paramedic. In my free time I like to play Killing Floor, TF2, and Left 4 Dead, drink and gamble, go bowling, fishing, and range shooting.
Are there any guilds out there that would be good for me? Let me know. And thanks guys. See you around hopefully.
P.S: My in-game name is Beaniron. Look for the tin man with the flaming sword.

I think you have to be 40+ to apply to Rapture. At least that's how it used to be.

yeah most likely, all the different guilds most likely posted level requirements in their threads, or atleast it would make sense to do so if they have not yet
So what are my options at Level 17?

Rapture is a guild for "40+" that raids planes 3 times a week (so its probably better to be at least 46). Great guild for low drama and to progress your char.

I suppose I'll have to just tough it out until 46 then without a guild.
My plan is to do Estate from 17-21, move to MM from 21-24, and then HHK from 24-36, then Sol B.

I don't think that you would have to tough it out til 46 without a guild I am sure there are plenty on this server available for you if you look :). I think if I had to wait that long I probably would have quit lol.

Supremacy its a good guild too for leveling, toons of ppl in your lvl range. Harmony its pretty good too, and they are starting fear atm.

Can't speak for the entire guild, but every Supremacy member I've come across has been a complete fucking tool.

Yeah, don't really want to join a guild unless they're at least somewhat known on the server in a positive light.
One that is just starting to do planar content would be cool though; it'd give me time to catch up. I dunno how long it'll take me to go from 17-46.

=( Most guilds are only looking for level 40+, it seems. I'm going to hit Lv20 shortly, but I guess I've got a long road before I can even apply to most of these guilds. I didn't know that people had such high level requirements around here.
I'll keep trying, I guess.

Supremacy would be the way to go. Leveling guilds here are all about warm bodies and a class variety, they're the en masse for low to mid lvl guilds

I've met a few, but most were decent.

IMO just get 40+ and then join a guild that is established to an extent. (Rapture, BDA, Divinity, Taken, Full Circle). Or if you want to do the high end thing then level to 58 and app TMO/FE.
I joined a couple of leveling guilds but always ended up playing with random people from ./friends list that were in the same zones I was in grouping when I was online.
Plus, leaving guilds is always somewhat dramatic (at least I think so). So I always try to limit the amount of times that happens =P

This is what I was thinking, but at the same time I don't want to have to level for two months on my own just to qualify for one of the more well established guilds. I want to actually get to know people on the raiding scene so I'm not a complete stranger to everyone when I finally break into the planes.

don't go solo unless you want to. Supremacy is fun,and lots of people doing the lvl 20-40 zones.
Which as we all know, that is where great players are made.
Of course, as near as I can tell, no one groups in cazic thule. That, imho, is the killer zone. You haven't lived until you realize: the mobs do not care about walls, and will heal right through them.

I'm Level 33 at the moment and intend to return to Unrest and ride it out in the basement until 35. After that, I don't know where I'll go; MM is too much of a shit fest lately (look at all the corpses at the zoneline).
Someone recommended City of Mist, but I don't know if Level 35 is sufficient to find a group there.

Hello sir, i'm an officer of <Harmony> and I can assure you that you will be well liked, appreciated and have the best time ANYWHERE with us. We always need solid paladins for exp groups. We do THE MOST guild groups on the server imo! We are all like minded in that we wanna do the difficult, challenging dungeons we did not do as much on live such as Kedge Keep, Dalnir, CoM etc...we always have SolB/Lguk groups going. We are mostly 30-55ish atm. We have done the hole a couple of times and ALWAYS help each other with quests/fights for their epics. We are gonna start the planes real soon and would LOVE another paladin. We have an active TS3 server thats also lively and good people hangin' out. If you wanna do dungeons with a solid, consistent group of guildiees and friends then we are the home for you. Send a tell to myself, "Fahndango" or ask for another officer in the guild.

Bean, harmony is probably a good option, I don't think i've ever met a member of harmony who wasn't a decent individual.
I'd also recommend <prenerf twinkies> as they have an awesome guild name and great people in their guild (i'm biased towards them though, because my techlover lyra is in that guild =P)
lastly, you are getting close to being able to apply to <full circle>. I think I saw that you already read one of our recruitment threads. Our guilds reputation is pretty much the most important thing to us, and we are actively raiding pretty much daily. Can't remember what our current level requirement is, but i know we'd take a good paladin if we saw one. Might even be worth it to app a little early just to see what happens, but i guarantee if you get in you wont be disappointed :)

I'll definitely keep both Harmony and Full Circle in mind. Taken is the one I'm focused on right now since I've made a pre-application thread on their forums and have gotten to know some of their members, and they have a lot of nice people as well.
I'm Level 34 now, by the way. Definitely going to be 35 by tomorrow, at which point I'll have to reconsider my options for advancing.

I had a chance to group with Harmony in COM, 1 is a necro and 1 is a cleric with my Monk. Both of them are really nice and friendly. They even invited me to chill with them on TS, but I told them it isn't really my thing.
Even after the group broke apart, the cleric even logged on her Druid to port me out to WC.
This is my first time grouping with them, and I think they are really nice folks.

Is that where the cool kids go to smoke and drink when skipping class?
