I bought Paralyzing Earth but I cannot scribe this as an enchanter or necromancer. I downloaded the latest spell files.

Is this not classic?

Not sure. But I seem to remember that sometimes you had to research a spell even if it was shared by multiple classes. I'm pretty sure that necros had to research identify even if they could buy a copy from the wizard spell vendor say.

It just wouldn't work unless it was researched.

I think Invis to Undead for wizards was the same. They couldn't stroll to the cleric guild and buy the scroll and mem it. Of course I don't think wizards got that spell till later.

This guy is right.

You have to research it for the class you want to use it. I bought paralyzing earth and couldn't scribe it. Same with Gravity flux i think...

There are 3 versions of the spell, created by the 3 int classes aside from mages. CLR and SHM are useable on all, while NEC/WIZ/ENC changes depending on what was used to make the scroll, and you cannot scribe the one from a different class.
