How do you turn off the musical tone that plays eveytime a bard song cycles with out turning off every other sound?

The short answer is you can't. Already been a thread or two about this.

Sorry didn't know that nor would I assume there had been. I say this because i seem to be the only person in my guild group who hears it. I figured it had to be some setting somewhere .

Man... I wonder how much I'm missing when it comes to audio. I had no idea anybody could hear anything from bards. I've also had a couple people say they could hear when other people ding -- I've never been able to hear others ding, I've only just seen blue sparkles around them.

I've got a semi-high end Audigy card so I dunno why I'd be missing these sounds...

Did you update your spells_us.txt? I think the "ding" on bard songs every tick has been fixed ...

I've never heard anyone else ding for as long as I've played P99, always thought it was weird sat as a cleric in a corner and people say "grats" when they couldn't have seen the pretty colours :p

I didn't even know there were sounds that played as a bard. Never heard them in my entire Live or 99 career.

Then again, music doesn't even play for me at all on P99 anyways so maybe its something on my end. :(

try this. You'll have to figure out what file it is though.
