Best (favorite) song from a video game [Archive]

There have been some really, really good ones.

Off the top of my head right now I'd say 'Still alive' from the end of portal, or one of the chrono trigger songs (still can't believe that shit was bleeps and bloops, unbelievable).

Music can evoke emotion, memories, even physical responses. What are some video game songs that send chills down your spine, sparks to your brain, or orgasms to your private parts? Feel free to embed so we can rock out (or cry) to your choices :)

My favorite used to be "Birth of a God" from Final Fantasy VII but that was before playing Castlevania SoTN which autotrumped anything from FF. Then I discovered Zun's works.
He's composed nearly 1000 tracks and I don't dare choose a favorite. I'll pick through and post a short list later.

Probably my favorite of them all if I were forced to choose, a remix of this song was what got me interested in Zun's music/games in the first place. Yukari also ended up being my favorite character.

I think the guy who made that video of CT songs got it wrong, #5 is definitely #1, and I think most people who have played the game would agree with me. Schala's theme #2 is in the right place, that is a technical masterpiece on a 16bit system (imo) and a joy to listen to.

Saw these guys last week. They did the Scott Pilgrim Video Game soundtrack. Nice mix of sort of punk feel with video game music.

Definitely some win going on in this thread. I know i said pick one song (as someone so graciously pointed out to us :D ) but I still stand behind my 3 choices I think.

Songs from chrono trigger (schalas theme and the other i mentioned being the best)

hell march from red alert 2 (someone seemed to agree with me on that one)

Still alive (probably my favorite.... something about this song just makes me absolutely love it)
