I know that you are more likely to skill up different skills if your intelligence/wisdom is higher. However, when you drink alcohol your intelligence and wisdom drastically decrease. Therefore, I'm wondering if your alcohol tolerance will go up faster if you click one drink and then wait for your intelligence to return to normal before clicking another drink?

Alternatively, should one just keep spamming drinks until you cannot drink anymore?

Which will cause alcohol tolerance to go up faster?

pretty sure str is what makes it go up faster. int and wis are for tradeskill skill ups.

Obviously this is unofficial just from my observation in raising my AT with my monk but I seem to skill up from the first 1-3 drinks whenever I start chugging a LOT more often then I do after I'm wasted. If I chug til I can't drink anymore and then wait that one tick in order to be able to drink one more, I can go thru stacks and see almost no skill ups.

What is the point of leveling alcohol tolerance really?

Drinking lots of booze gives you a decent boost to STR and with higher tolerance it takes a lot more boozes before your vision gets all jacked up.

Got real drunk on EQ last night. I don't remember the vision being so stuttery? It used to sway back and forth kinda slowly, but this time it felt like my character was having a seizure.

Is this to do with a high framerate or something?

Bind outside the arena. Find a buddy who wants to raise Alcohol Tolerance.
Get shitfaced and duel it out. When you die, your alcohol effects go away, and you can inebriate yourself some more.

no idea if this is just one of those newbie rumors but i was told on live that while intoxicated it takes a little longer for dmg to YOU to register. yea lol sounds retarded but i remember tanks drinking alcohol to tank better.

I've never seen anything definitive on how your stats will help gain AT faster, but you should be able to continually click another drink every 6 seconds (tick) or so, as you're continually sobering up each tick and have room to get back to "max drunk."

STR & STA buffs.

Of course, there's a downside. And don't drink near lava.

I feel like it was a missed opportunity on Verant's part to not force a feign death animation when you hit max drunk. The skewed first person vision is funny, but I think a lot more people would have embraced brewing/drinking in-game if getting hammered made you fall to the ground.

Currently 243 @ level 54 on my Dwarf. Increased skill by spamming 3-4 short beers each time my WIS/INT was back at normal numbers.

Even with such high AT it doesn't seem to make much of a difference as far as how much can be consumed...

Hmm...I thought alcohol tolerance capped at 200.

They came out with a drink later on that when you drank it you would get drunk and have FD animation(not effect though)

Haha, slightly off-topic, but I just recalled back on live a time when my buddy and I brewed a whole variety of beers and threw a party at the top of Kelethin. So many lowbie corpses on the ground that day.
