Can't see hotbars 2 3 and 4 after Velious UI patch

After patching the Velious UI, I logged in and found that my hotbar 1 is now a 2x5 rectangle instead of the previous long horizontal bar. I can't seem to find hotbars 2 3 or 4 either. (2 was also horizontal, 3 & 4 were vertical before the patch)

I tried repositioning them manually in the UI_[character]_project1999.ini file, then relaunched, but they're still not visible.

For clarity:

Running at 1440x900 resolution, and yes I modified the window position at that resolution in the .ini file.

I tried changing resolution in-game, but still am only able to see hotbar 1.

IIRC, there was only one hotbar in classic EQ. Are the rest of the hotbars no longer supported?

You have to do the following:

Then download the following file and extract into your Everquest folder, overwriting any files if it prompts you to:

that's the spellfile. Then do step 1 if you want the 1x10 hotbars or step 2 if you want the 2x5 hotbars:

OK v2: These are the same as the standard UI but use the new icon layout as well as some code fixes. Note: these are basic icons, if you want better make your own! (they are standard 24x24 gemicons and 40x40 bufficons just in a different order)

1 Default. Take the aforementioned default zip download (http://home.comcast.net/~savok/project99/default.zip) and update it with the default uichanges v2 (http://home.comcast.net/~savok/project99/default_uichangesv2.zip)

Clear instructions:

1. Go to your Everquest\uifiles folder and rename the default to say oldbackup.

2. Download the FIRST zip file depending on which style you want (filigree/fancy or default_old. Make a folder in evequest\uifiles\ called default and unzip this file into that folder.

3. Download the SECOND uichanges zip file and unzip into the same new Everquest\uifiles\default folder and overwrite all files.

4. Load Everquest.


I can confirm that this method works. I can see all my hotkey bars

I have tried option 1 - the one where you get 1 line of hotbars - but I just cant get it working. I have followed the instruction perfectly.

I dont want the 2x5 hotbar :/

Any suggestions ?

I had the same problem, but followed the instructions for option 1 and it worked...

I had deleted all the files in the default folder before extracting the default.zip first.

i am having trouble with this as well...i prefer the 2x5 hotbars...should i download option 2 into the default folder or replace default_old with it? Sorry for the noob questions and thanks in advance for any help!

if you want the new UI from nilbog and only keep the old (2x horizontal 2x vertical) hotbars, just use EQEmuLauncher to update your EQ ;)

Yes because I removed and updated the whole UI. Check the link in the sig for the latest version. The Velious UI is designed to have one set of 2x5 hotkeys (as it was), the other 3 are all horizontal as part of the extras pack (you may need to assign macro keys to open them under options keys). In other words the default velious has ONE set of hotkeys only.

Try to keep the 3 UI files separate (default, default_old and velious) as there are code differences between them all.

just use rumzucks launcher ... it updates it automaticly to the default new spell icon version with 4 "new" hotbars
