David Tennant is still my favorite doctor. He (from what I've heard elsewhere as well) has filled the role the best. Tom Baker was supposedly pretty amazing - the old series is on my to-do list.

As a ~gurl~, I was obviously hoping for someone as hot as the last three doctors, but all in all - I think this guy will be good. I mean really, just from looking at him at the 'reveal', he totally has the "Doctor" look going on.

What I'm saying is..... for a silver fox I would totally bang him.

Every doctor has an obsession, right? Doctor #12 should totally love cats. (https://twitter.com/rikkisimons/status/364214991982837760)

True David Tennant was the best of modern times, but the roots of Dr Who aren't in all the fancy CGI bullshit... they lie back in the 1960s-1980s with a cheap budget that managed to do so much.

As for Tom Baker (above), the guy got creepier with time...appeared on "Fort Boyard" saying some incredibly creepy things with creepy music in the background.

Tennant + Rose had the best story line. Did any of the old Doctor's have similar happenings with any of their companions?

Baker will always be the first person I think of when it comes to Dr. Who. That and brilliant writing with laughable props. Admittedly, haven't watched much of the "new" stuff. But what I have seen I've enjoyed. I will try to check out this new one. I like his listing for WWZ on his IMDB page, humorous.

Dr. Who is out there, in scifi terms. I'd HIGHLY reccomend any part of the series.

I know Tennant gets alot of love, I prefer Eccleston - the 9th Doctor.

Maybe I'm biased as that's where I began the series. As for the love afair with Rose/Tennant - where do you think it started? Eccleston and Rose.

hell she even didn't like him at first.

has the show violated any of its established logic? if so then it can burn along with 99% of scifi and fantasy

The main character is a time traveling alien doctor. There really is no logic to be had. But that's what makes it so great.
