Hi, I am new to the server.. I was just trying to escape from Odus to try and get a bind in Qeynos and kill gnolls... but I am threateningly (KOS) to Erudin guards.
What can I kill to raise faction with them? Is this possible with the Warrens closed?
Thanks.

The Erudites are in the aftermath of a civil war. Your side, the Heretics blew a chunk of the planet away and they decided to stop fighting before they really make a mess, but don't expect access to their city just because the war is stopped.

You will need to get an invis from someone higher level(8-12ish) or get teleported elsewhere by a friendly druid or wizard. SKs do not get their self invis till 30. :)

And the irony is that Erudite Cazic Thule Necromancers from the same city are dubious. I think that's the point being made here.

Yeah, I just had my corpse dragged by an erudite necro -- strange faction problems that I never knew existed.

What kobolds give faction for Erudin in Toxxulia? .. since the Warrens is closed.

if it bothers you, why dont you research how the factions should be / wich faction hits kobolds should give and post it in the bug section? :p

I think I was mistaken, you may not be able to raise that faction yet without destroying your Heretics faction.

What vendors would probably let me sell to them in Qeynos? Sewer? I am considering seeing if someone will port me to NK.. and I will run back to Qeynos and get a bind.
Odus is just too lonely :(

Pretty sure SKs and Necros both are supposed to be kos. I remember having to grind in Toxx as a necro until level 8 to get Gather Shadows.

You might have been grinding to 8 because you knew you could not get through qeynos without invis. My main was an Erudite Necro on live and I was definately never kos to the guards in Erudin. The caster guilds are another story though and I found that out the hard way as a newbie
I am suprised an Erudite SK is kos to guards, you would think they would have the same faction as a necro.

This doesn't make sense because you can travel through the aqueducts in Qeynos. But I still stand by the fact that I'm fairly positive you would be KOS to Erudin and dubious in Qeynos.

This isn't even correct, the Erudites blew up Odus, not the Heretics.

/shrug...Yeah, you can travel through the acqueducts, true. An Erudite necro is the only main I ever had in eq live and I am positive I was not kos to guards in Erudin, but some npcs in Erudin I was kos to. The only other possibilty is that I may have killed a few Kobolds before I checked my faction and that may have helped with the guards...not sure, but if I did, I didnt kill that many. I did get killed in Qeynos by a guard on the docks...may have been another npc though.

When I ported her over last night she checked the aqueducts and was threatening there as well.

eru necro is not kos to guards and erudin, neither is kos to the guards in qeynos.
I did it with my necro and was able to go across qeynos unscatthed.
That shouldn't be with the Qeynos guards.
Necros are hated almost everywhere besides their starting city in almost every single case.
Yeah, I don't know if it was a guard or another NPC, but I was definately killed on the docks in qeynos the first time I ever left Odus.

Well actually the Heretics are Erudites.
The correct lore is that when it was discovered that some erudites had started to practice necromancy, they were branded heretics and banished from Erudin.
A war of powerful magic started between the two factions and it escalated to such enormous proportions that a big chunk of Odus was blown off into space where it crashed into Luclin, a tribe of Kerrans was on that chunk and the survivors became the ancestors of the Vah Shir.
The chunk also left a big hole on Odus, called 'The Hole'.
Both sides of the Erudites were shocked by what their war had caused and ended it. The heretics, who had almost been wiped out, fled into the mountains at first but started building a new city in secret, the city was built in The Hole and was named Paineel.
So the hole was caused by both the good and evil Erudites, the story also serves to demonstrate the superior magic abilities of the race as well as how they almost wiped themselves out because of it.

One of the guards little sisters best friend's cousins hairdresser baby mama , who you had relations with not long ago and never called her, saw you out with some skank blond halfling trollop who should just go on back to the shire and leave you fine young Erudite men alone.
And the irony is that Erudite Cazic Thule Necromancers from the same city are dubious. I think that's the point being made here.
They're KOS to the high level roaming Pally, at least one guy in the tunnel after the teleport, and to almost everyone in Qeynos, though.
It's no easy run at low levels.

I had an eru necro and I know I was dubious to the guards. Maybe certain npc's in erudin might be threatening but probably avoidable. (threatening is small aoe for agro)
