Sirken decides to change my name without any warning or choice, than I petition and he bans me.

Is this p99? Did I do something wrong..? Am I investing time in a piss poor child managed server?

Anyway there's my rant for the day - To all the new players out there, tread carefully because with the game managed like this, you never know if you'll have your toon in the end.

I don't agree. While with very considerable effort I can make out some of the things he is attempting to convey, there is a large portion of his message that is a complete mystery to me due to his poor grasp of the language.

I'm not flaming or saying that his English isn't 1000x better than my [Insert language other than English here], I'm just chiming in to say that it is not easy to understand what he means, and some things get lost entirely.

Anyway, back to the OP.. were you a dick to the GM? If so nobody cares. Otherwise this sounds like a tragic mistake. :(

I'm just curious.. did you reach out to him at all about the issue? Or did his name just get changed to a GM-chosen handle and then he was zoned?

That's how the screenshot makes it appear, if so I think I can understand why he would be upset. Just wondering how issues like this are typically handled.

I would still most likely attempt to handle the situation like an adult rather than spamming and being a dick.

Personally I think you were both wrong in the way you handled the situation, and unfortunately one of you has the power to ban the other.

I was a senior guide, your name violates the naming policy I think level 1 or whatever the top offending category was at the time (been a while) and would qualify for warning + suspension.

What part of "free, privately run server" gives you this angry sense of entitlement? Spamming Sirken like a tantruming 3-year old instead of sending a polite tell asking why your name was changed, and could you perhaps pick a replacement would have gotten you a lot further - ignoring the stupidity of the original name for a moment. u were suspended for spamming the petitions, not the name. thought i made that pretty clear with my SS i posted earlier as it actually shows when u lost the name, followed by your spam, followed by your ban.
