Leveling areas for charm Druid?

I just got my first EQ Druid to level 14 and have been trying to charm grind in East Karana like a guide recommended. However, I keep getting harassed by all the yellow/red gorge hounds, griffons and evil eyes patrolling everywhere to the point where it just doesn't seem productive enough to keep trying (I spend more time running for zone lines than actual grinding!)

I'm a noob so I'm not really that familiar with the game world. Are there any other viable areas for a level 14 Druid to level via charming?

I'm not completely sure but I think you can charm the crocs in Oasis at that level? They don't social aggro and there's plenty of level ranges for you to level up on. Start with crocodiles/caimans, and just move to the deepwaters as you level. I'm not too familiar with any other low level charm spots for a druid I'm sure someone can elaborate on other spots

I had more success in NK at tower charming lions to kill beetles. Moved to EK at around 21.

I did what Trojanman did on live. Charmed griffawns to kill beetles in NK until 19-20, then EK and SK till 25ish.

I would force out a few more levels until 18 or so in blackburrow via elites/fangs. Then revisit EK.. or move over to NK and charm animals to hunt beetles.

Mid-Late teens till 20 you might find charming a cat in nro to kill dervs worthwhile for you. You can single pull them with harmony and they drop bronze weaps pretty often worth some plat.

I did oasis crocs till the gorge hounds / LOIO tigers were blue. Overthere at 30 and prepare for the long haul in that zone.

The trick is to find low level dark blues which is often difficult at the lower end of the level range. The experience is quite nice with minimal risk and gear requirements.

I did mammoths in ef at 19, charm a calf to kite and kill red mammies. Snare, flame lick then dot. It's like 5-6% per kill until 24 or 25 then I started charming mammoths to kill each other. I was there for like 14 levels.

EK is great for 14+. You can find various safe spots to pull to. If you're really having trouble with it, NK also works at that level, and has lower-level animals to work with and less mob density.

I charmed in the following zones:

East Karana 14-25
Everfrost 25-34
Overthere 34-51

^ This. Although in Everfrost you will find some frustration with so many people pulling these. I've charmed one, brought him across to kill the other only to find someone running through agroing it. Peak times are silly for this especially. Good luck though, at 24-26 you can get about 5% xp as a halfling per 2 mammoths.

EK from 14 to 21. Lions, Lioness, Wolves, Griffawns near gorge.
LOIO from 21 - 31. Sabertooths before the windmill, then grimalkins past it.
OT from 31 - 46.
At 46 I'd try to save up for a Lumi staff because that's probably the fastest leveling you'll find, quad dorfs in BB, then Spirocs, will get you to 51 in no time.
