Everyone knows your first pick is a long snapper. Then you get the punter ;0

You could be like my wife, and draft Jerry Rice and Jerome Bettis a year after they both retired... or even Vince Young with the first pick overall lol.. On a serious note, can't go wrong with picking AP or Manning.

I would go with a RB, that's usually the norm. AP or Arian Foster are good picks, if you want a QB first then I would go Brees or Manning.

Aaron rodgers or lebron james

Depends on the scoring system used, but Adrian Peterson is pretty much a lock at #1 overall in most leagues right now. His performance last year - coming off of a potentially career-ending surgery - was amazing. I don't think Jennings will steal much of his thunder.

AP, I'm hoping you're just asking this to start a convo...if you actually need this advice you're going to have a long FF season. I have the first pick in my league and a couple weeks ago I was toying with the idea of trading down to the #2 spot when Arian Foster was healthy, he's having back issues now though, so it's back to being non-creative and taking the no-brainer pick.

Peyton Manning is gonna break records this year. I would go with C.J. Spiller over AP, just wait and see.

Adrian Peterson is guaranteed points since he plays on a team with a terrible passing offense....

With the amount of touches he's going to have he is bound to get injured

More likely scenario....Bound to injure Defensive Backs.

I would trade my first pick this year.. People with first pick are at a huge disadvantage.. It is an extremely thin RB year. So they are very important. I would trade First pick for someone elses 1st and 4th or something a long those lines. I have second to last pick in my draft and I am pumped I will have 2 better RBs than the rest of my league.. I will likely get 3 right off the bat then get a QB... then load up on WRs and then TE depending on what's left.

Haha, what?!? Thin compared to when? There are far more viable RB options this year than any year in recent past.

If you say so... There are FAR more question marks this year than any year in recent past. We have new coaches and lots of fresh faces. The years past where you had 20-25 teams with returning stars at RB are gone... Now we are lucky if we have 15.

this guy is kind of right except trading first pick. never give up AP. he can win you weeks by himself. it is thin this year but that just means number 5 RB and number 12-15 RB are going to give about the same production. Go AP first pick, calvin johnson/ajgreen/brandon marshall second pick and another RB for third pick

I hate taking a RB in the first round. RB's get punished and are more injury prone than QB / WR. That being said, it's hard to pass up AD or foster so if either one is available I'll pick them. If not (3rd pick or greater), I'd go with Aaron Rodgers cause he is a fantasy monster. Like a fire breathing dragon that scores TD's. Best at the position and gives you an advantage at QB in every game.

TE last? If jimmy graham, jason witten, or gronk is avail, might be worth a 2-3nd pick there. Definitive advantage over every other TE. Graham will prolly avg 12-15 pts this year. After witten and gronk, who's left? Jermain Grechiam? Someone lines up with a 6 pt TE and you line up witha 14 pt TE that's like adding an extra wide out to your line up.

Wow some horrible advice in here.
It's a Y! standard league so we know the scoring system. You take Adrian Peterson. There is no debate. Your first round pick is more about floor than ceiling. QB is the deepest it has ever been you shouldn't even think about QB until round 5 or 6 unless for some reason Brees or Aaron Rodgers falls into round 3.
And I completely disagree picking 1st is a bad thing. The first and last picks are the best picks in any snake draft since you're picking back to back.

Adrian Peterson no contest.

Not to offend anyone, but doesn't this thread belong in the Off Topic forum?
*EDIT* Saw the posts above mine after I posted mine.
I think the logic "cause the server talks about it" is specious at best. As I understand it, this forum is supposed to be about Everquest talk. The description reads "General discussion related to Project 1999 and classic Everquest."

Yeah well, you also had to ask what to do with a 1st overall pick, so I wouldn't put much stock in your opinion on fantasy football.
In most leagues, about 15 RBs are coming off the board in the first 20 picks.
Probably more than ever before. Typically, at least in recent years (past 5), there were about 8-10 RBs ranked in the top 20. There are a lot of options at RB this year.
I wish I played in leagues with most people in this thread. I'd make better money than Platlord.

You still think this isn't the thinnest RB core in the last 5 years? I mean, every fantasy professional agrees with me.. Leagues are drafting according to that belief. You seem to know something that every other fantasy football player doesn't know.. People re taking 15 RBs in the first 20 picks because there are fewer viable secure options. Your reasoning behind your point is actually proof of the contrary... Platlord... I guess that is a good comparision. You're both idiots.

You should really try to pick a solid running back first and second picks if you can.
#1 Adrian Peterson (no brainer)
#2Forte
#3Mccoy
I agree that having a later draft position is better, but it's tough to trade first pick.
Btw you should look into auction leagues. So much better than some random pick order.

I promise there is no "fantasy professional" that agrees with you. Not a single one. And not about anything.
Get mad.
I must agree with everyone. Go AP. Round 2 I'd say steven jackson. Round 3 go qb unless there is a run on qbs then get it in the second. Round 4-6 get te/wr. I guess it just depends on what everyone else in your league is picking. The difference between the top 12 qbs is going to be a couple points a week but the rb position there's only a good 5 or 6 that are in the top tier that you'll want to get asap before they are all scooped up. Getting a mstt ryan or andrew luck in the 5 or later isn't as far fetched as you think.
