Mystic Cloak: Faction Question

Is it worthwhile to start this quest as a gnome necro? I read somewhere on Zam about an enchanter being able to charm the npcs you turn the quest items into for the cloak. Does that really work?

For the quest you have to go in Felwithe and Erudin.

you can do turn ins while fd. might want to wait till you're a safe level to do turn in to the felwithe guy. the girl in erudin turn ins can be done behind the wall fd'd, virtually no risk cept for an occasional wandering guard up those steps.
