I rerolled my enchanter and joined a new guild that doesn't PL twink or buy from EC. Can anyone tell me some quests or mobs I can use for upper teens so I can work on some gear? Been looking through google but I'm not getting anything

I've got the stein quest loaded on another page already. I may do two or three times to get spell money. I've read about the incandescent armor quests and opalline earrings (in mid 20s). I'm trying be more efficient in my guild groups though

Hang around Oggok and you may find someone killing guards. If you can loot a rotting Crude Stein, it's a huge upgrade for an enchanter.

Wait.. the guild you're in doesn't go to EC? Or is it you who doesn't want to go to EC?

Guild doesn't buy items. Everything must be earned. Makes it more of a challenge

huh, at your level earning plat should be of a similar difficulty to questing them on your own.. though with a tad more monotony I guess..

All the money I'm getting right now is going towards spells though

Here's the thing. I get weekends to play because of my job and current living situation so when I am on I'm more trying to grind lvls than make money. If I had more play time I might farm a little pp but I'm playing catch up every weekend

I don't understand why people think they just have to be geared at lower levels even on their first toon. It's not really necessary to be rich to level up - it just helps a tad. I've found that understanding game mechanics, class compositions and good camp/xp knowledge is 100X more important than gear in my leveling experience. Unless it's fungi, epic or big-time haste gear, it's not going to impact you that much to buy a bunch of stat gear at level 1.
But if you just can't stand the idea of being partially naked/poor at a low level, then devote time to farming items. Like the rest of us when we started, you can farm almost from level 1 in this game in order to afford spells and gear. Crushbone Belts (2-3pp each), Bone Chip stacks (5-15pp/stack), Runes off vendors (buy at 1-5p, sell to players for 10-200p), Spiderling Silk (1p each), Zombie Skin (1p each). Cat Pelts. Wolf Pelts. Bear Pelts. This kind of stuff sells very well and very quick. It just takes time to do it. Don't forget that Everquest is a marathon, not a race.
Inform yourself. Devote the time. Success.

I understand what you're saying. I have a full set of cloth armor lol and I did the gossamer robe quest after I won the roll for the slaver earring. I don't HAVE to have great armor but enough extra int for one or two more mezzes or enough extra cha for longer charm duration can make a huge difference when the stuff hits the fan. I did the belts and pads when I went to cb I make sure to kill skeles when I'm running through zones to grab bone chips to trade for PP. I know the basics because I played back in 99 but then I was 10 and more worried about killing the monsters than finding good gear and when I finally figured it out I sat at the ice giant fort in everfrost because the folks That were killing them never wanted the fine steel weapons (or the jewels sometimes) so I got a bunch of money and bought some gear. Now I get to find out where this gear comes from and have new experiences in a game that I thought I knew a lot about. BTW I'm 2 items away from completing my stein of moggok quest for the first time
