Most needed class in Velious?

Hey so far i have a ranger, a monk and an enchanter.. all of which i think will be worthless in Velious.

What im asking is which class should i think about making so i can have an easy to get spot in velious content? I never have played velious before so im very excited to get involved. Thanks!

I think your monk and enchanter will serve you well. Not exactly sure why you seem to think they will be so bad.

Enchanters are strong, but NOT OP (aside from maybe charm) through most if not all of the Velious timeline as far as I'm aware.

And Monks are horridly OP pretty much all the way up to Luclin, from the launch of Velious.

So I think you're safe in terms of efficacy.

As far as what classes will be most wanted? Just don't go thinking a Ranger/Pally/SK is going to have some crucial and in demand raid ability, forget about that. Keeping that in mind, I think every other class is about as in demand as any other late game, unless there is a cleric shortage, or Rogues perhaps (main heal and dps). Maybe a fresh 60 tank would find the raid tanking scene deeply filled by regular, trusted and geared tanks.

If this were like live, I'd tell you:

Clerics - Velious targets require a lot of clerics.
Active Mages - the worst class on raids from a fun standpoint, but they will be desired.
Rangers - weaponshielding slow targets. Over here, you'll probably just see monks or rogues with mallets.

In reality, any guild that is going to be seriously raiding Velious is going to have something like 3x the raiders that uberguilds had on live. So, 'core' classes probably won't be needed, but more DPS always helps.

Well, if they solo and fear kite animals well yeah. No way they are tanking any more. Great for tracking, CC, Uhh, Uhh, I am thinking. :o But I still like them. :eek:
