Hi all, my character is a level 5 human wizard named Kossuth in the starting area of Qeynos. I started EQ back in March of 2000, originally as a warrior, then moved to a druid and a cleric. I have never played a wizard in the original content [I have pretty much every class above 80, most at 95+ on Live] and am looking to become a little more experienced. That being said, leveling back then was harsh, and... well, if you've ever leveled a wizard before, you know the difficulties better than most.

I'm just posting here to see if there are any people around, alts or mains, that would be interested in just forming a regular group of friends that hunt together. I've tried LFG in Qeynos Hills and in Blackburrow, but no one really seems to want to group, [most whom I've come in contact with have been monks and bards]. I wanted to change that, and bring back the nostalgia of the good old days, where a group of friends and I would wander and explore the world, through multiple corpse runs, accidentally falling off boats, and discovering the awe-inspiring cities or dungeons.

If this interests any of you, feel free to send me a tell, I'm sometimes on during the day [I play EST btw], but mostly end up being online after 8pm EST [I have a 1 year old daughter, and she gets my full attention until she's in bed]. I look forward to hearing from some of you!

If you don't get any bites, you can definitely find random groups. Two things you can do are to be proactive (I don't know if you're just running around with an LFG tag up or what, but it helps to send people tells and form your own groups) and try different zones (Crushbone is more popular than Blackburrow; you can get a port to GFay from the WK wizard spires. Although I think Blackburrow is doable).

My friend who referred me to P99 also said CB was pretty full on average and because of that told me to start in Qeynos to do the gnoll fang quest. Though after my limited experiences inside Blackburrow, CB might be a better choice. Thanks for the information :)

Edit: and I do send people tells for groups, either they don't answer, or literally aren't interested. I also actively /ooc.

Keep sending tells (not to the same people, of course) and you'll find groups soon enough. Good luck!

Sure, I wouldn't mind making a new character if you want to form a regular leveling group. Been meaning to make a Cleric character.
