Hello. So is it allowed for my wife and me both to play from same network. I know my laptop can handle the game. But I know they block ppl for boxing and stuff. So I'm curious if we could? Thanks.

You need an IP exemption.

Make a thread here: http://www.project1999.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25

There are instructions in the sticky. I've heard of exemptions taking as long as several months in the past, but I think they tend to be quicker now. I did mine in April of this year and it took 24 hours. It varies.

Just make sure if you are both logged on, you are both playing. They do allow IP exemptions for two players in the same household but they do not allow boxing.

You need to petition for an IP exemption. Click link below, read the announcement post, then submit the petition.

Even with exemptions, or seperate IP's beware. People like to call dual boxing as it happened to my wife and I, and almost got banned. We had similar names, exact gear, and was called out for two boxing. It took a lot for me to convince her to play this old as shit game, just for someone to say we were boxing. Trying to help you avoid going through this, goodluck man!

When my ex and I were playing we were constantly paranoid about that. At the time there were lots of people boxing under the guise of legitimate duoing back before they were as good at catching boxers as they are now.

I don't know what all they check for but, at minimum, make sure if either of you goes afk, be sure to put the flag up. Even if some shit happens, like you are dying, NEVER touch the other computer if the other person is AFK....That's crossing the line into 2 boxing.

Also, even if your wife is kind of shy or shy with new people (my ex was) make sure you both talk to people in groups.

That kind of thing. Be legit and don't scream "im boxing" in your play and you will be fine. We had some interactions with GMs while playing together and it was always fine. I'm pretty sure they know how to spot who is legit and who isn't.
