Hi,

after having it set up using DuxaUI, some people are convinced (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=28335&page=49) that after the next patch players will be banned for using this or similar UIs showing numerical values.

Can we please get an official statement from the GMs?

That would be fucking rich. Don't ban any of the scammers, but ban people with numerical values in their UI's. lolol

Lol yeah ban people for using a custom UI which shows the same info as the classic live UI (in kunark there was a transparent, black UI which is very similar to the default UI on p99) but allow training in raid zones. That would be kind of ironic, lol.

I mean the information the UI gives is nothing game breaking compared to what was available on live during kunark.

I remember using f10 to alternate between the classic UI and a transparent black-tinted UI.

When I get home ill look for a screenshot of it so you can see what I'm talking about.

Whether this is true or not, this is some of the stupidest shit I've ever read.

During Kunark on live, you had 2 "default" interface options.

First one(original one) looked like this:

Then, you could hit f10 (I believe) to change to this one:

I still don't see what the difference is really between this one and duxa's, besides some convenient features. I still prefer the original transparent black one(shown above) to this day though, lol.

I don't know how anyone is not aware of this considering it's in the setup guide, but the transparent black UI mentioned above is the "Velious UI" (doesn't mean it wasn't available before Velious), which is available if you followed the setup guide by typing "/loadskin velious". It's the only UI I use.

Also, let's keep our hysteria under control; if the devs were going to ban people for using a very common UI, they would have let us know.

I say no! When I first started I had a problem loading Nek Forest. The setup guide was lacking at the time and the spell files were not listed. I petitioned and a GM told me to download Duxai to have it do the setup for me. Would be pretty messed up to get banned for something that a GM told me to do.

Your not going to get banned for using any of the pre-made custom UIs (including my fixed defaults [old and new], the Velious UI, my original Vert UI or Duxa's copy/remake of it). If the devs could fix the old classic code we wouldn't be using custom UIs anyway. Seeing as they can (or haven't yet), how are they going to enforce anything fairly?

I was also one of the of the players that helped fix some of the spell gem code so that it fit more like classic and I never got any feedback in regards to using or not using custom UIs.

Next you're going to try and tell us we can get banned for using Luclin models..... not gonna happen.

If you ever question someone's post on here, look at their post history. That alone should tell you.
If major changes happen, the staff will do an announcement to everyone beforehand.

Now that should be implemented. It really should.

That doesn't sound like a denial to me...
