I sold mine for about 35k and then got 3 tells within a day for 50k+. Easily worth 50k, maybe as much as 75k, Paladin epic is bomb and Fiery Avenger is easier than Ragefire.

The sale would be straight up trade for the droppable book itself, No multiquesting or anything else involved.

Who knows though, Some people have to do their epics themselves and don't have every piece MQ'd start to finish meaning they need to learn the quest. Maybe he really did not know? We'll never know.
