Unless you are just wanting to look for gear for role playing purposes or because you are sick of leveling, there is no reason to seek out gear you can find as a level 20. As a mage you can level to 50 without any extra gear, and any gear you can get won't make a significant difference. Once you are 50 you can start farming some meaningful stuff.

understood Hippo, Just to make it interesting is all. Love getting new gear even if it doesn't help me much. Just adds a little bit of fun.

What Hippo said, in your 50s you can camp gear like Drachnid Thyxl (http://wiki.project1999.com/Drachnid_Thyxl) easy. Plus camping a GBS without track is a PITA. You would be better off farming plat and just buying one.

Also look in the blue threads I made a thread not too long ago on stuff that can be camped around lvl 25.. Although I recommend levelling and having fun, if your idea of having fun is being tortured by a lvl 14 female gnome named Pyzjn then I say go for it. But in my experience on my "nights" in EQ you can bet someone will be camping Pyzjn

mages don't need anything, mana pool wont help , you can always kill 1 mob

that being said being naked is no fun. Id focus on leveling then when you are bored camp what you can farm easy, you can camp a GBS for days and not get it , so its a bad item to camp for money or for yourself.

Also it has no hp and wont help when you get jumped by rogues or sks.

I camped Pyzjn for 4-5 days and saw her spawn once. That's it. Once. Didn't drop the GBS. Just get a Stein of Moggok.
