Lulz from my time on Live

On live, I was a member of Stasis on Prexus. At one point we had a guild clean up to clear out people who were inactive and made a temp guild called Poison Dart Frogs, which later turned into a Twink / Recruit guild.

We were in the top 4 contending guilds on Prexus. There used to be a rotation for contested content but when Prexus went First Come First Serve, all hell broke loose. We farmed mobs for plat, COH'd past guilds in VT, and had an all wizard team (The Juice Crew) of about 7 - 9 wizzies go Manaburn shit for whoever could pay up for certain kills.

We were giant douche bags, but the competitive nature of the server warranted it. This video was made by someone in either Unity or Nameless Order. It reminded me of how much people hated us and always cheered me up! I hear about guild clashes on this server, and how much some of you despise one another. So I wanted to share it with you! ^_^

But you know what the funny thing is.

Just say you met one of the people you don't get along with (in game) - IRL - at a bar or something similar. Didn't mention specifics, but just happen to mention EQ in general and found out you both play... You'd probably hit it off great and be quite amiable to each other :O

Yep, probably would, but on the internet people forget there are other people behind those characters. I myself have over reacted and done some dick head stuff I'm not proud of. :eek:

Think most of us have. Anymore - I guess I just realize I'm here for FUN, so if I need to step out of a situation to just do away with an unwanted conflict (some BS still warrants standing your ground.. lol) I will do it a lot of times.

But little things to one person can be a big thing to another and sometimes people don't forget one way or the other.

This made me think of dick things I did when overreacting. I played back on Torvon and in late 2003 some Druid pissed me off over something extremely trivial. To get back at him I created a username of his char name on Torvon forums and proceeded to write a two pagelong flame post (under his alias) bashing two of the top three guilds on the server and calling out people individually. I was a member of one of the guilds I bashed under this Druids name too. Apparently he didn't go on the forums but the thread went to double digit pages and he started to get blackballed a bit. I never got found out, even though I responded to the thread under my own personal name as a retaliation to the post I made under his name thinking I was being incredibly slick. At the time I thought I was a villainous mastermind, in retrospect it was beyond dick and pretty extreme to have taken it to such levels.

Bump, I played on prexus as well and was at the exact raid that inspired this flash video lol. Domus Divinae was a good guild of cool folks was one of 2 guilds that I played on during the 8 or so years I played on live. Unfortunately it took us a few tries to get dain and the other guilds on the server flamed the shit out of us for months about it. Atleast on Prexus guilds got shots at mobs though because there wasn't much leapfrogging going on early on in kunark/velious until Stasis/Poison dart Frogs got bigger, after luclin.

Nice thread necromancy. I too played on Prexus and aside from a short stint in Domus I pretty much stayed away from all the high end shenanigans on the server, though I do remember the legacy of PDF. Sucks the link to the swf is borked.

Yeah I use to be in stasis we took down a bunch of stuff, was a sweet guild.... Until I was booted for selling a narandis lance on player auction : P pretty fucked up on their part, but still an awesome guild none the less haha
