best memory was porting into iceclad going out of the "inner ring" of portal and seeing a sea of people fighting, at least 5 different big guilds and smaller "crews" with 250 + people in zone, shit was crazy and went on for hours and hours

I will never forget when I was brand new to game I made a Eurdite Enchanter Named Rudino. Getting lost in exploring the forest I found a "brownie hut" and thought ooo cool and I saw Brownie merchant... so I thought to myself ill run over there see what they are selling!

Needless to say the entire 5 foot x 5 foot town came at me and my body lay there lifeless over the entire encampment. 21 corpses later someone told me about the /corpse command. good times, good times indeed.

Making a Halfling rogue and going to HHK where I asked to see peoples nice items in the trade window, then moving out of the way so it would drop on the ground.

I got an executioners axe and a FBR. At the time I thought it was amazing loot.. and I guess it kind of was for a guy with no character over level 10.

When the game just opened, on my erudite wizard, I'd enjoy fishing off that bridge in tox as I med. Also discovering the Cube in qeynos sewers, and his 3 int earring. Sold those back in erudin for like... 8 plat!! Learning the sewers and all its secret passages and drop-offs was fun.

I have to add 1 more .. coining Speedd solo. This was an epic achievement as a rogue.

That guy was committed to the cause like no other. I think he did more for a single guild than any player in the history of MMORPGs, I'm not sure Hate would have enjoyed a Nihilum style dominance on SZ if it weren't for him.

In some ways I wish I would have followed my Nine guildmate Draganov to neutral, but I was already invested on the evil side so I stayed. So much of EQ PVP is tied to PVE unfortunately, neutral (and even more so the good team) never stood a chance.

Not an EQ memory but I remember opening portals to the bottoms of nasty dungeons in UO, or selling false runes marked "minoc bank" or "vendor outside britain" that took you to the same places. Or selling empty spellbooks as full ones. Or giving newbies poisoned bread. I think my fondest memory in any game was watching a newbie down some deadly poisoned food, watching him tick down to about 20% of his life then saying "KILL ME PLEASE" like his character was in horrible agony and was begging me to euthanize him. I think I laughed hysterically for about 15 straight minutes.

Man that game was a griefers paradise.

Hah. My brother and I did this, we were like 11 and 13. I got 10kpp once. He got a fungi tunic. This was pretty early in Kunark. About a week later EQ changed the mechanics and added the confirm drop window. No more dirty dealings for me but funny memories now.

Getting Pyrul's (60 bard) info in Sullon Zek when I was like a level 40 cleric noob, having no idea what to do on a bard, and logging off.

Best memory was GM event around Freeport. Total confusion, hoping to get loot. Also just running around Velious as a 40 neut cleric scared shitless.

- Best memory: Halloween event in 2001 on Rallos. 205 people in EK and other zones PVPing for event mobs. Getting to lake rathear or some zone around there at level 12 and coming out of it at level 8 with a bunch of new no drop gear. People would pull the AOEing undead dragon at the zone line, so many corpses. Getting about 3k in a weekend as a naked noob just looting scythes in EK people left to rot.

- Getting jumped by 3 guys in queynos hills, following them afterwards to queynos and nuking them from rooftops as they were buying from vendors and getting sent tells begging me to stop.

- Getting bind camped by some guy near unrest for 15mins. Then sends me tell he will stop only if i port him to some place i dont remember. I port him instead to dreadlands at 2am in the morning and he kills me one last time.

- PVPing all day on the Gfay platforms.

The first time I "quit", I thought that actually meant something. So I sold everything I had and bought all the proccing weapons I could find in EC.

I went to Crushbone and handed them out to every orc I saw, thinking it would be awesome for a newb to find a staff of writhing on an orc slaver. Little did I know, that the orcs would start proccing the weapons like crazy and murdering every noob in sight.

I laughed and laughed until some higher levels came in and swept through the place, ruining my fun.

On Sullon zek, I found a guy AFK at his bind. He was lv 56. I proceeded to kill him over and over. When he was no longer white con, I found someone else to kill him over and over ... this process continued from 8PM till 6 in the morning (it was a school night too, boy do I miss college).

By 6 in the morning he was lv 22. He never logged on again.
