New Patcher/ how?

Hey guys havnt been on ina couple weeks, and im still on the old launcher..
anyone toss me aquick heads up, on the new start up procedure?\

I'm still using the same launcher (right click, "Start EQ only"), but downloading the patch update file from the News/Announcements section. Not sure what we're meant to use, but that works :)

I made a shortcut to eqgame, added "patchme", unzipped the downloaded update to my everquest folder and let it overwrite everything. Works fine.

How to for those that don't know:

Find eqgame.exe, in your EQ directory;
Right click eqgame.exe and select "send to desktop (shortcut)";
Right click the shortcut;
Click properties tab;
Add "patchme" so the target line looks like (make sure it points at your directory):

G:\EverQuest\eqgame.exe patchme

if you use the multiple core CPU fix in the duxa all in one installer the new shortcut it makes also works to launch the game.

I just started playing P1999 yesterday. Is this something I need to do? I can get in game just fine using the new startup guide but for future patches is this needed?

Just if you want to use a shortcut to the exe. You can also use this to load up a flash drive if you want to be portable with your install. Just copy your EQ directory to the flash and then follow the instructions and store the shortcut on your flash drive.

Always have to download and unzip the new patch before logging in. If you can log into the server just fine then you are up to date.

I used the emu launcher that's u I was asking it did it 4 me

Just use Duxa. It does it all automatically.
