Have them post his / her questions in the technical support forum?

mount using daemontools lite -> install cd1-5

Sounds fishy

Might be fishy or it might not... but you have to wonder why they've chosen a 3rd party, who admittedly doesn't know how to figure this out for themselves, to champion their technical support effort in their place instead of finding the forums and posting in the correct spot?

And yet you've really not posted any specific questions... or posted them in the correct forum.

I think your friend should go to the appropriate forum thread and post for himself.
Anything short of that will net you 0 responses

<18:33:35> "Jazendar": Sorry, having issues validating my email to be able to post on the forums so I was having a friend do it for me.
I'm having issues using daemontools. When I double click on it, it brings up crossover, downloads to some nimbus file, and then I get tripped up in the steps to mount the files. I've been all over the forums. I'm on steps 2/3 of this guide in installing Everquest:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/private.php?do=showpm&pmid=586804
When I go to each individual CD, right click the file, click on DISKIMAGEMOUNTER, it opts to install the program, brings up oldschool EQ Titanium, and asks where I want to install it to. From what I gathered online, I should be installing this to C:\Program Files(x86)\EverquestFree.
I don’t think this is right, being that I am on a mac. If anyone is willing to help a little further, I would greatly appre

Use Daemon tools or what ever program you want (I used Alcohol 120) to mount the .ISO files. Once mounted install the program to what ever location you like, just as if you' were actually inserting the CDs into your CD drive 10 years ago. Windows 7 and newer versions have issues with the default installation location so you might want to pick something else... such as c:\EQ\...
Searching the technical support forum should bring up several threads covering this.

My point isnt that people shouldnt help, my point is that people who want help should ask for it.
This person is either up to some shinanigans or doesnt care enough to ask for themself.
Or this is the case of an insecure person pulling the "so I got this friend...who um....ya its really me..."

if this is a "how to on a MAC" request... then the first post in the technical support forum might help.

You may also install with Crossover if you know where to find the files after :)
Otherwise, please uninstall Crossover and run Daemon.
When he downloads the P99 patch files, do not copy the folders to the EQ directory. Copy the contents within the folders to the appropriate existing folders. This helps to prevent issues with the game not booting, and the sky disappearing. Also, creating a copy of the "Resources" and UI file can help save some grief in the future.
