I've noticed a large amount of people making up new camps and just curious to your experiences. I've had someone claim that the Arena in CoM was two camps, a left side and a right side. And now apparently you can claim the Warlord camp in KC while sitting in the Hands room. What is going on? Next time I zone into KC im just going to claim everything from LCY to basement from entrance to the zone.

It's pretty clear what a camp is imo.

My group did on live quite a bit. Pulls were ugly but fun. YMMV Depends on what isn't camped and how fast you can pull. Just don't be a douche about it.

Jeremey took this point to task a few year back, in the end a GM ( prob long gone by now and 10 rules changes later ) proclaimed that outdoor zones don't have called camps. Karnors Castle was used in an example and was called a non campable outdoor zone, now the player base works pretty well together minus a few bad apples but in the end if it's not engaged in an outdoor zone its fte...

I have no problem with a camp in hands pulling from Warlord, but since your not physically at the warlord camp you have no reason to be pissed when someone else also pulls from warlord. You worried about losing those mobs? Then stay in the camp! Or just kill faster and make sure you're there to pull mobs faster than the next group.

XP bonus=everything is a half camp lol, everyone logs in and everyone wants their kills, in the end it almost ends up being the same amount of xp with more grief due to 50% less mobs haha

Fuck you're right, I never thought of it that way. We need 80% exp bonus then or 1 day at 100% to make it work lmao.

Or...or, just saying, you could give up a lucrative loot camp to take advantage of the bonus in a place where there isn't a huge demand for mobs due to loot camps.

It seems silly to stay in Karnor's, for example, if there's a bonus on and there's six dozen people in Karnor's. Asking for a bigger bonus because you aren't getting enough mobs is like asking for a raise because your business isn't doing enough business.

What even more annoying is powerlevelers who think they can claim damn near entire zones (and some of the best leveling zones for that matter) to plvl someone....

Since apparently Divinity thinks they can hold a Tranix camp with a single rogue sitting there, I think this thread should be bumped.

According to the rules, he cannot claim the camp since he is unable to maintain it solo. If you bring your group in there and take it over, you wouldn't be in the wrong.

I tried to explain that to him. They didn't seem to care. Divinity used to be better than that.

If there is more to the story then do share. If not, then don't drag an entire guild's name through the mud for the actions of one or two people.

one rogue there.

We showed up with a group that can actually kill Tranix.

He then called in a full group that were not there previously and told us he was there first.

I explained server camp rules to them, asked them if I was wrong in my interpretation of the rules, and they ignored me.

I can name the names if you like. (Also have screenshots.)

But seriously, Divinity used to have the best name on the server, yet this was an entire group of jackoffs.

Supremacy is filled with the absolute worst players on this sever. Not just in terms of skill, but terrible human beings. Kudos guys!

Anyone can solo tranix with enough clicky toys. It's not exactly the most challenging of camps...

"Hundreds of untouched mushrooms" - wasn't that the Fan Faire slogan in 2000?

Ah-thank you.

So you tried to rules-lawyer someone out of a camp that is worth about a 1/15 chance of getting a 40k item? Split 3+ ways, you're looking at less than 1k pp per person on average. This is the price at which you begin to try and twist the server rules to your advantage? You literally could have taken that group over to efreeti for an hour and made more money than you can expect to average from tranix.

Yaolin

1. There is no twisting.
2. You're brilliant.
3. There is no twisting.
4. Think before you post nonsense.

I'd love to see a rogue solo Tranix.

4. In order to hold a camp, the player or group must be able to demonstrate the ability to hold the camp without further help.
*Example* An enchanter and lvl 40 ranger are in a group. The enchanter leaves to go kill frenzy and the ranger stay at lord. In this instance both camps are not considered held as the ranger could not survive this camp on his own without the enchanter.

I've found that hands camping warlord or warlord camping hands is a camp, mainly because of mob spawns and the close proximity.

Really though, who wants to camp a spot that has 4 mobs.... or a spot that has 10? I pretty much just base what camps off what happened on live/spots that can be sectioned up evenly.

Don't deflect. You tried to use server rules to push someone out of a camp they were claiming. All for less than 1k pp on average. You may very well have the rules on your side here. But you were willing to spend this much time and effort to fight over the amount of plat that a person can farm in 15 minutes.

KC is like the one exception to the traditional "Camps" system, imo. Yeah, there ARE clear areas which people have labeled with names that are well known. The issue is that all of these areas and their pull routes overlap, so it becomes a shit show in a hurry.

When I'm in KC I more or less just pull whatever is up and unengaged, as do most others.

A camp to which he had no legitimate claim according to server rules. Wow.

Rules basically say you have to be physically at the named spawn and be able to handle it in order to claim it.

Reality is quite different in KC. When it gets really crowded it seems there's not enough mobs to go around, so things get... chaotic. People all the time call multiple camps by having 2 different people in a group call different nameds off. Everyone does it. I dunno... if they can handle it you probably don't really want to move in on the spawn and wrest it from them by PnP or whatever... If you have a group just go to Sebilis, Chardok*, or something and have all the mobs to kill you can handle.

*Chardok if no AE group going. Otherwise its too dangerous.

Effort? You're spending more effort commenting in a thread about something that has nothing to do with you. What effort?

Reality is quite different in KC.

People love KC because a) they can run to the zone when they fuck up and b) they can solo. So basically it attracts all of the bad/antisocial players in the game. Verdict: avoid.

I've always likened KC to CB for grown-ups. It can be fun, but it's not worth the trouble.

To the person who said he would like to see a rogue solo tranix.....its quite easy if you have the right tools. I have solod him on friends rogue picks.

Steps to soloing on rogue.
First engage and drop a mallet on him....hes slowed.
Second when you get to 20 health, drop a root net on him.
Third back up and click your trak bp 12 times....72 seconds or so
Lastly kill him. If you run through tranix then back up real fast you can land all your backstabs.
Tranix dead.

Rules do state you have to be able to kill the mob strictly with what you have there, but with soulfires and clickies never underestimate what a person can do. With the right tools, any class can solo tranix.

c) KC is good for casual players who want to group. You can quickly get in and out of groups here, if you have an hour or so to play.

You can't do that with other high level dungeons. That hour would be totally consumed in travelling and getting in and out of the group.
