Whaaat? Reminds me of the time I met Oprah Winfrey at a alcoholics anonymous meeting in Chicago.

Wait, no it doesn't... but lets animate that anyway because it was random :D

Hmm, this might get me to start watching that show again. It had been getting more and more douchey over the seasons and Brian was really leading the charge into realm of overly political douchebaggery.

Brian is the reason I don't go out of my way to watch the show. He's annoying and not at all funny.

Dumb move IMO. Should have killed off Meg.

It's a cartoon. You can kill off a character before breakfast and have them come back at lunch. I think Seth is trolling pretty hard. I see Death coming back with some Charlie Sheen-style "quest" to bring Brian back to life and then Vinny gets hit by a car. And doesn't come back.

Unless Brian's voice actor is moving on to other things...in which case, it sucks, but Brian wasn't the rug that ties the room together, I guess.

Should have killed off Chris, surprised they didn't do it sooner... terrible character :/

Only reason Chris is around anymore is to give Seth Green something to do with the show.

Brian's the reason practically everyone I know watches anymore.

You know people who watch the show for Brian? That annoyingly overpolitical and unfunny character? I watch the show for Peter, just like I watch The Simpsons for Homer (older Simpsons, not the new stuff). Those characters are funny, Brian's just a political douche.

The episode where Rush Limbaugh turned him conservative was good stuff.

His voice actor is Seth MacFarlane, so I doubt he is going onto other things.

Writer Steve Callaghan told E! Online that Brian's fate was sealed before the season began, when the writers decided killing a character would provide a valuable shakeup.

Callaghan said that however much the characters and viewers loved Brian, the show felt it would be easier to weather his loss than the loss of a two-legged family member.

Brian's departure could potentially change several key dynamics on the show, since he was a sounding board and frequent skeptic about family schemes.

Brian was 11.

No because it's the fact he's not funny that I don't like. What's the term for anti-comic relief? That's what he is.

i seem to remember when Stewie killed Louis, and it ended up being a dream. not to mention, we're talking about a cartoon with a time-traveling baby.

i doubt hes dead dead. he's probably just mostly dead

Apparently some people think he was the best out of them all. Why people don't think it's Peter is beyond me. That character is hilarious.

Brian never did anything funny. Yeah, maybe he was Stewie's straight-man, but whatever. He hit on Lois whose husband supported him, seriously dated the airhead Jillian, was an annoyingly self-righteous liberal. The only thing I sorta liked about him was he was a martini swizzling alcoholic. Quagmire really said it right.

He was funny back when he'd be speaking intelligently and then be easily distracted by a ball or something else dog-like. But it's been many years since he was anything but a whiny douche.

Hey, other dog! Fuck you!

worst episode ever, to be sure... stewie foreshadows brians death when he destroys the time machine, patronizing wierdness. .. there been a couple episodes that made no sense like that one where the guy beat his girlfriend

i blame cocaine.

He did say that he was going to kill a main character for good this season. I did not expect it to be Brian though. What about all the Brian and Stewie musical episodes?!?

I did think Meg was too obvious to kill though. Vinny's voice = Tony Sirico from The Sopranos. I like this guy it seems he's signed for 6 episodes and the future Brian episodes this season might be changed to Vinny to eliminate spoilers. I'm interested to see if the show continues... pretty sure this was suppose to be the last season.

Oh well... personally I think American Dad is funnier. Seth Macfarlane is kind of amazing with all that he does.

Seth was supposed to be on a 9/11 flight - but showed up late to the airport

haha you're right, it makes even less sense now.. since he is a principle voice actor still, they dont even save any money, there are no personal reasons to gossip over re: other voice actors... he just kray!

South Park is having a great season so far. Family Guy.. well I stopped watching years ago. Couldn't say if better/worse TBH.

I thought the show was going to become unwatchable around the seahorse sea hell episode. Meg getting serious was awful tv. Thank god there was a shroom trip to break it up. It has picked back up somewhat.

This Brian thing sucks though, killing him off doesn't even make sense. I just have a feeling this wont last long. Stewie has pulled off more impressive things than saving a dog, he created the universe for gods sake!
