I have heard there were some changes awhile back that made AE in this zone not possible anymore, but I am fairly curious as to what they were? I know certain mobs summon now, but that shouldn't be any different than chardok? I didn't know if stuff had super high MR now to resist chanters/wizzies more often or something?
Any insight? Zone is normally fairly barren now and I miss the good ol' AE days!

It could be possible to swarm, but unfortunately the stuff that summons makes it nearly impossible. Lots of social mobs in skyfire, so it would be nearly impossible to swarm X and Y mob, while trying to avoid the 100 Z mobs that are running around in the zone and have the ability to summon.

Huh. Is it classic for the mobs to not be stunnable?

Bards can low-hp AE kite in SF if they are careful to not pull the mobs that summon. To be honest though, it's a lot of work and probably not worth the payout.

Have done it before - requires a 3rd person to help shuffle out the summoners (skyfire drakes). The experience is great but with the extra trouble and 3rd person to split with its probably just worth doing mindless pulls in BW

Papa Uthgaard dropped the hammer on this one.
All wurms and drakes are immune to normal stun (this includes spells), not just the high level ones, it's part of the race. Whirl is not a normal stun, Flux is. There's a reason there weren't ever ae groups in skyfire on live. Here you all just throw fits about chromadrac range so you can ae better while ignoring the real bugs.

Ya, thanks for the info peeps! I did these a few times when kunark first dropped and took a break shortly after. Came back and skyfire is always abandoned, so i figured something had changed but could never get a straight answer from anyone. Chardok the only viable AE right now? Have never come across it in HS, KC, etc before... Excluding burning woods/dreadlands

problem with trying it in HS is the zone layout. ONly really south and east wings that are connected......suppose you could use carpet traps to pull to basement, but while you fall down the shoot...a ton of mobs would be hitting you. I guess a monk could fd mid fall(levitated), so the mobs come out the bottomn?
(tbhive done chardok ae on live, but not p99 yet, so i dont fully understand pulling practice here)

Ahhhh, that makes sense. (wurms being stun immune)
