Blizzard is selling wow, tbc and wotlk battlechest for $5 and the mop expansion for $10 in there online store, so for a total of $15 you can play wow up to the current content and when you buy these you also get a free month of game time included.
If this interest anyone on here drop me a PM and ill send you a refer a friend link which will enable us to gain x3 exp when grouped together.
$15 for all wow expansions, offer lasts till the 1st (i think).
Malicre, Garena Server.

My old account has been banned. No idea why... whether its not been subscribed for 4 years or something, but they've banned it. I had a decent pvp title which I would want back if I was ever to play again. If that wasn't enough, they wrecked it with pandas. I thought draenei were bad, but PANDAS for chrissakes...
It is a good deal though, for those interested :p
EDIT: By "referring a friend", don't you get a free month's play if the friend subscribes after the free period?

I haven't played retail wow since tbc but i just went back because i mean its $15, who cant afford that?
I actually just made a Panda Monk and there shockingly fun. PVP and dungeon queue's are instant which is a nice bonus.
Yeah if someone lets me refer them i would get a free month if they bought a month and if they bought a 2nd month of game time i would get to choose a mount out of like 10 different ones but the best benefit of the RAF program imo is the triple exp bonus. I ran threw the panda starting zone once with a panda warrior at normal exp solo and only finished it at lvl 12. Ran threw it with my real life cousin (who did RAF for me) and we ended at lvl 16, see the big difference the exp bonus makes?

The same thing happened to my character. I even have an authenticator on it, which works because it's the same account I have for SC2. Strange things afoot.

I recently re-subbed to play with some co workers.
Once you hit level 90 you get what are literally free epics.
You can loot an item from common chests on the Timeless isle which are used to create a level 90 epic tailored to your current spec.
I canceled immediately and have just been soloing old school raids for the nostalgia while my month of paid game time runs out.
Free epics. No thanks.

Oh god, sounds horrible... how easy do things have to be these days?

Probably got hacked and the person who hacked it used it to advertise gold for $s. Seems to be a common thing in WoW.
Beware of phising (obv), and also using the same un/pw as you do for forums. I trust this forum, but some forums will take your login info and try to see if its the same as a WoW account, or other games. Happened to me in d3 but luckily that game was horrible.

No reason to be upset. It's the last patch prior to 6.0 (WoD) which will reset gear once more. It's been the case since 2.0 / 3.0 that there needs to be only 1 step to get just prior to raiding gear gear. Timeless isle allows you to go into the new LFRs rather than slogging through hundreds of shitty LFRs, as they did not update 5 mans or 5 man gear at all throughout the expansion (a failing, I'd think--not sure how it's being handled in WoD).

I'd make sure that you're actually banned and the account isn't simply locked out. If you can provide enough information, they'll unlock it again (due to security reasons, perhaps you got hacked idk). I went through the trouble to get my old account back, then I realized what I was doing and never used the account anyways after getting it unlocked.

Wow is that girlfriend you had a lot of fun with, but then something changed about them. They got a little lazy, gained a few pounds, and even started talking rather dumb to you, but you stuck around because you had had a few memorable, fun, good times together. Then it kept getting worse, more weight, less care, less fun, less everything but a microwave chicken pot pie and a, "here's what's for food and now be quiet because american idol is on." So you broke it off, and felt good about yourself, did some new adventures, met some new folks, and made some new memories. Then after a while you saw them again and they had a new look. They were a little more attractive, dropped the weight, new wardrobe, seemed to have read some more books, so you decided to try and rekindle what once was. Then after spending a night with them you saw it all, all the reasons that you broke up with them, hidden under the new, cheaper facade.

If blizzard would release a classic progression server, following classic timelines, they would have people resubscribing out of the woodwork. The classic game was awesome, its an abomination now....

Eq1, wow vanilla, vanguard. Those have been the only games that ever had that true "wow" factor for me. I was truly immersed and enjoyed my time just wandering around and exploring. And I truly enjoyed the time spent leveling. All the other mmos have just never grabbed me like that. Was just get to max level and then burn out. I missed out on UO, DAOC, and SWG. I have tried their emu's, but again..they have not grabbed me. Wanted to like Eve...but again...something was missing.

I wouldn't be surprised to find that they are thinking about this already. At some point subscriptions will hit a truly abysmal level and they'll need a boost. And hell, maybe they'll even do it better than SOE and not lose all the original coding so they force you to play vanilla content with current systems.

The number squish is going into effect in 6.0 along with Garrisons and some other cool stuff. Endgame hp/damage will be roughly around WotLK numbers.
I still play vanilla WoW very occasionally. Oh lord I tried to get down with Vanguard but the population is balls.

Blizzard has already stated publicly that they will not be putting up servers for old expansions.

I'd be happy if they just made the servers self-contained, as in no cross server shit. In vanilla the servers were like they are here - relatively small communities. If you were an asshole who dipped out on groups, ninja'd, trained, w/e, then you earned yourself a reputation. Now you can queue up for anything from a dungeon, to a BG, to a full blown raid and just be the biggest ass you want to be. Zero repercussions because you'll never see any of those people again.

QFT... totally hated the realm integration.

lol that acutally happen to my old account too i quit during cata went to get back on and it said it was banned so i said fuck it
That happened to my brother. While he wasn't playing his account got hacked, they used his scroll of resurrection and stole some items, then it got banned/locked. He called Blizz and some CSR unlocked his account.
Also, I can't read WoW forums anymore (or really even relate to a lot of the people who play now) without wanting to kill myself. The level of entitlement and the obsession with instant gratification is sickening. The world still often just feels like a lobby, there is no community, no need for interaction, and a lot of the people who play now have never known anything else.
