Let's see what everyones sporting in the year of 2014.

Just assembled the desk 2 weeks ago, most of the cable management is done untill I build a desktop. The actual desk is 1" thick particle board and weighed in at close to 130lbs, as sturdy as you can get at $200 bucks. Running a simple 2.1 speaker system with klipsch speakers/sub, never felt the need for 5/7.1 systems. Still using laptop

New Surge protector for the entertainment center/PC everything is routed through it, since the incident back in 2008 where my desktop fried through the ethernet connection I thought it prudent to invest in one. This Tripp Brite got a real high rating on most surge protector sites, and runs a hefty $80 bucks, but was worth it. Had the cable guy test the internet speed running the cable through the surge protector and through the wall and had no notable loss in speed.

I got the quantum 9000 from office depot name and price are ridiculous. But I haggled the chair down to 200(from 340). Has memory foam armrests and can slide the seat forward/back in addition to up/down and tilt

That little piece of trash is by far the best laptop I've ever owned.

I work pretty heavily in a terminal/unix environment while doing my research and I seriously wouldn't have it any other way. Literally BY FAR the most capable mobile machine I've ever used. Gestures? Holy crap awesome. Full screen a terminal, full screen sublime, write my code, swipe over, compile it/run it, or send it over to the parallel computer to test it. Swipe up, go to main desktop, send an e-mail to my professor that the simulation will be done in a month and to leave me alone until then. Boss.

It's definitely gaming related. That being said windows is finally getting on the cool train, there's word of a microsoft open source OS that will be able to parallel windows computers(not linux).

My next update to this is monitor upgrades. I've had these monitors for some years now and going to get some nicer ones for my next upgrade. Perhaps wall mount them as well. I've also thought about de-cluttering the walls a bit.

They sound even better, like, 4x better(science proves it), when you get this stupidly over priced soundblaster card. Actually, the soundblaster card is a reasonable price for the level of quality, I'm really impressed. I'm hearing alot of sounds from previous tunes and game music that I couldn't before when these speakers were hooked up to my laptop. Highly recommend the X-fi titanium soundblaster card.

its good man. LOTS of ventilation, and the fans are extremely quiet (with the SSD i hear nothing at all, its amazing compared to the fan and Hard Drive noise produced by my last rig).

my only complaint is the lack of USB ports. everything i own is USB2.0 pretty much, and my old rig had 6 USBs in front and 4 in back. this one has 2 in back and 2 in front.

also if you buy it, dont be an asshole and not read the book. theres a VERY WELL hidden compartment behind the bottom drive pop out thing, get a lil screwdriver, and unscrew the crap and slide that bitch out. do not make the mistake i made, or like me, you will end up mounting your motherboard with only 2 screws instead of 6-8. seriously if u get this case, the hidden compartment will blow your mind.

i also move my computer around a lot (ie: i take it outside to clean it) and i really love that it has a handle :p

Dell Venue 8 Pro. Gotta turn off the particles for raiding and it will stutter a little looking at a large crowd, but for regular pick-up group EQ, there's no problems. It's a nice portable setup when you're Jonesing for EQ.

Honestly EQ on anything smaller then a 12" screen is silly hard to fit everything in. Maybe if we had forced Classic UI it would look better but i couldnt imagine having to squeeze all that UI on a 5 inch screen.

1920x1080 on a 12" screen will surely make text small. Maybe /chatfontsize 6 will help. Otherwise, you might be able to try a larger font on the General Tab in options, or a combination of the two.

* but then, it wouldnt charge the new battery, then the display shot dark. too expensive to repair so i just left it as a 2nd storage sector. setup as a closed clamshell hooked to a separate *and hidden from photo* keyboard/mouse/montior

thanks. I'm actually in the process of upgrading from the 3 46 LEDs to 6 28" Samsung 4k monitors (Currently have 3) . Unfortunately that also required me to buy 2 Geforce 980s when they just came out last week as my old ones couldn't do 4k . Not sure if these will cut it even . And yes the only games i play are eq1 and magic online . Oh and clash of clans <3 blue stacks. Nothing like playing IOS games in 3800 x 2600 resolution. 500gig solid state
2tb storage
and the fucker can't run p99 so i have to buy a new laptop for that

I'm very particular with monitor levels. Needs to be at an exact height or it will drive me crazy. Using college books so my set up is technically +$1,000
