Mechwarrior Online

Anyone play this? I gave it a go while waiting for DAOC server to go up and i was pleasantly surprised. Its grindy, its a lobby "shooter" but lots of mech customization and it feels like a mech game, not an arcade game.

Hopefully they go somewhere with this further than lobby shooter monetization but its pretty decent.

I loved mech games but mechwarriors was one of my least favorite, lack of customization.

Armored core blew my mind as a kid and id spend hours just building different "ac's"

I guess the only other one I played was Future Cop for PS1, that was a blast multiplayer co-op and vs

I didnt play alot of them, but i liked mercenaries where you could destroy the leg of a mech to incapacitate him for max salvage. MWO has pretty fun messin around in the garage time where you mess with builds choosing for example more dmg vs less heat, speed over dmg, pretty fun for now. They plan to add some territory control mode in June.

So it's mechwarrior 2 but with "MMO" and a cash store probably?

Why wouldn't I just want to load up mechwarrior 2 on an old PC?

Game is pretty fun. Been a mw fan for years and ive put quite a few hours into this game. Well worth paying nothing for. Well worth paying the 40 I spent as well. And MW Mercs was by far my fav mw game.
