My alt-itis got the best of me and I landed a full suit of enchanted dwarven plate last night.

So between Halfling, Dwarf, or Gnome warriors... Do any of them get interesting racial/religion items (Like the Innoruuk necklace)?

I'm not too concerned about min/maxing stats, but am bending towards Halfling for the minor xp bonus.

Gnomes warrior are rare, can see through walls, are tiny, and get goggleplatehelmets in Velious.

Halflings also get sneak pull!

Fixed that for you! I've honestly thought that could be an interesting duo/trio partner as a shaman to bring a sneak pulling warrior into the mix.

True! I hadn't even thought of that. Would come in handy when you're the last man\woman standing at the bottom of LGuk.

Go Halfling for the win (xp + sneak/hide), dwarf for the stats (and maybe dwarf cultural smithing?), or gnome for tinkering.

Now you're just getting crazy!

Seriously though had a halfling chick war on live and amazed groups by sneak pulling some zones, a lot of people on my server didn't know about sneak pulling so it was fun dropping jaws.

besides you won't always have a bard/monk or an enc/clr to lull. nice to be able to pull singles when you have to.

Sneak pulling does sound fascinating. Plus, nobody has mentioned the bonus of hairy feet!

Dwarves have the best stats, they also get +5 MR/PR over gnomes.

Halflings get +5 DR/PR over gnomes along with hide+sneak and a racial xp bonus (halfling war requires the least amount of xp to get to lvl 60 of any race/class combo) and they have better stats than a gnome. The little porkers do eat faster than a Dwarf or Gnome (need to carry more food/buy food more often).

Gnomes get to see through walls & can tinker

Min/Max its a tossup between Dwarf and Halfling (I'd argue the sneak utility advantage for halfing, even though I have an irrational hatred for halflings). Coolness factor goes to the Gnomes (stats won't matter nearly as much come velious. Halfling sneak pulling advantage will always exist though).

None of those race/class combos get benefits from any kind of deity clicky that I'm aware of.

Correct, should have said sneak&hide. You can hide and stay in place and be 'invisible' or can you sneak and stay behind mobs to avoid agro.

Sneak also allows you to pull off tricks where you can invis behind a mob, sneak, drop invis and do turn-ins on mobs that would normally be KoS or where you need at least Indif and you're only dubious.

If you're going to go short, go halfling.

Yeah, I know the sneak and hide mechanics aren't quite like a rogue's... Still good to have in a bind, though.

I think I'll be going with the halfling!

Don't halflings also get forage?

edit: never mind, answered my own question.

Gnomes seeing through walls? Is that an actual ability or a clipping plane issue with gnomes?

This thing is so incredibly OP. When me and my buddies used to get bored we'd roll gnomes on the PvP server, name ourselves Weezi, Sleezi, and Feezi, and go get bullsmashers.

Took awhile, but man, watch out. 6/20 was godly in that timeframe (when 8/24 was 'the best'). Red V all the way!

clipping plane issues, halflings can do it as well, but not as great as gnomes

You may be right but I'm almost certain I've used hide to avoid undead trains in kc basement (within the last few months, deffinetly after hide nerf )while camping turnkey. Going to go double check this later tonight.

halfling warriors also have the highest bonus exp mod at 14.5%

Dwarf/gnome at 10 which is still good.

I had a gnome Warrior when I first started on here a long time ago. I thought it was pretty cool but when I got it up in the high teens I realized that it was a BIG mistake because I could not see over or around group mates and mobs to control or hit them.

Think about having a Ogre SK play in the group with you. Your head is in his butt crack lol. It sucked and I deleted it and made a female Barb. Much better move trust me. :D

This is the biggest reason I don't like playing little melee (tanks especially). You can always shrink your ogre/troll/barb if you want to be smaller (shrink pots ftw), but you can't make your gnome bigger for the sake of different camera angles :(

If you're going to go short, go halfling.

or don't be like everyone else going short and go gnome, true halflings make a good choice but they are very popular here...i like playing a unique race/class choice, gnome warrior is da best!

if you roll a gnome look for me in-game or pm here, ill invite you to our gnome only guild

I like going for unique as well, if you make you're halfling warrior a chick it would be a lot rarer!

If you want unique, go Half-Elf Druid.

Too many Wood-elf and Failing Druids.
