My brother and I are going to try p99 in a few day (depends how fast we succeed with technical issues and IP limitation).

What would the euro community would advice as classes?
I know its a small server and the euro community must also be sort off small. What class is very needed in the leveling range and in the raid level?

We'd like to avoid Shaman-Monk unless there really is a huge lack of shamen.
We thought about:
Druid/War (Non kite duo, amazing if there is a lack of tank)
Druid/Monk (Non kite duo, very effective but only if the server isnt crowded with monks already)
Druid/Cleric (Must kite duo but xp rez is something important in the Kunark Era. I love to play old school cleric)
Cleric/War (but we'll be crippled when noone is there to help us out with travel/invis etc...)
Druid/Enchanter (Strong kite duo, depends a lot on the enchanter numbers)
Wizard/Bard or Wizard/Enchanter (both decent kite duos but we'll fight on each other to know who will HAVE to play the Wizard...)

cleric and warrior always needed. Might need an enchanter friend to make it easier.

Cleric enchanter is very powerful as soon as the enchanter can charm (Lvl 12).

Cleric keeps charmed pet healed (and keep the mob you're fighting rooted), and you're golden ;)

Druid good for this too but at level 39 with complete heal, cleric surpasses the druid in many ways.

Druids, Shamans, Monks, Necro's are probably the most common classes on here in that order. But they are popular for a reason.

Any Tank obviously needs a healer. Shaman is probably the best below level 50, Cleric best above 50 for Complete heal. Druids are sort of the in between, but nice for ports. They can't keep up over level 50 at all healing wise without a Slower.

The hard decision is what Tank to have. Monks have the most DPS and are good at pulling. Warriors are best at taking hits, and do the next best DPS wise. SK, Pally are pretty far down the DPS list, but do hold agro well. SK is a pretty good puller also.

The problem with a Monk, SK, or Pally they have XP penalties on here. So if you play any of the healers they will level faster than the Tanks other than a Warrior, and even Warriors get a XP bonus. Average is 10% on here verus 40% negative for a SK, Pally. 68% for Ikky SK, and surprisingly a 44% penalty for a Ikky Monk. 20% for a Human Monk. But it is somewhat shared as a Duo.

I am American but I am sure the Euro players all have the same needs we do. It all boils down to what you guys REALLY want to play. Not what is best for min max as they say. This game is suppose to be fun not a job lol. So good luck and welcome aboard.

If there's a chance you'll be playing separately at times, probably best that you can pick classes that can solo capably.

Necro/shaman ? Solo well, and work very well together.

We'r not druid fans (its gonna be a war to see who is going to play the druid) but port, sow, track, easy-snare, camo. Not just for xp but for everything from travel, to dungeon, to named gank, questing... druids are just so useful.

We will probably never play without each other. Unless its skill training, maybe must-do hail quests or something.

About tanks, none of us has any intention to play a Paladin or a Shadow Knight. So if we go for a tank its gonna be a Warrior.

Tank/healer the way to go then.

At least consider a shaman for slows, they become more important later on particularly if your dps isn't super high.

I can only speak to the server overall really, I don't know specifically about what classes the euro population players specifically. But that said, and going off this quote:

There are lots of shaman, so you don't have to do sham+monk if you don't want to. Druid+melee works but is far from "ideal" because without slow you will want excellent healing, which you won't have with a druid, plus you lack mana regen to sustain a druid's mediocre-at-best heals. It will WORK, but it won't be great. Druid+cleric would be painfully short on DPS unless you only work in places where the druid can charm an animal for DPS. Cleric+war is a solid foundation for a group and lack of invis isn't that big of a deal really cause you can get pretty cheap items to provide invis for you (larrikan's mask) when you really NEED it to travel around; when you don't NEED invis you can get around with cleric lulling things. Pairings involving a wizard are ok too, but no duo with a wizard really excels at higher levels or indoors. Druid+ench is the strongest duo of the things you listed, and is a very potent duo at any point from 1-60 whether XPing or trying to kill nameds for loot or PLing friends or basically anything you can imagine wanting to do. There are lots of enchanters on the server though, if that affects your decision (lots of druids too, really, but it doesn't seem like it sometimes since not as many of them try to group as classes like warrior, rogue, monk, cleric, etc.).

Just do cleric/war since it sounds like neither of you *wants* to play as a druid. You can buy cloudy potions for 10p a pop for emergency invis and then later if each of you pick up a larrakan mask (and then store a 3rd one on an alt so you can recharge it) you'll be fine. Also, with the general population of this server you'll get yourself geared up well enough pretty easily through donations to get into the 40's pretty easy.
