My brother and I have a few sets of toons around 20 that I'm looking to put in different zones to accommodate the class pairs and incase certain zones are packed. Trying to plan out some zone paths that work for 20-50 (multiple zones obviously). Dungeons ideally but some obviously so better in open zones.
20 iksar shaman/SK combo - I'd like to keep em in Kunark
-in Warslik currently
19 high elf chanter/cleric combo
-in Upper Guk currently
20 magician x 2
-in Mistmoore currently (may be too low for this)
We each have Druids to port toons around so movement isn't a huge deal.
What are your thoughts on each for a 2-3 zone path from 20-50? Magicians are probably the most limited, the other 2 pairs can do well in most any setting I think.

I have NOTHING to add to all those pairs worth starting over with. All 3 are OP. Mage lacks CC but 2 pets are pretty sick DPS wise.
I would say just go with what you guys like. Game is suppose to be fun remember.

Indeed it is I'm just trying to think of a path that they can go to so they are never in the same zones and they can play to their class strengths.
I'm thinking for iksars:
20-25~ Warslik
25-35~ Droga maybe? Lake of Ill Omen? Kaesora?
35-50~ CoM
Chanter/Cleric I would like them to end up in LGuk
20-25~ UGuk
25-35~ Unrest Basement perhaps?
35-50~ LGuk
Magicians I really have no clue. Unrest was crushing us. We could kill 2nd floor mobs single but most stuff up there is double. I tried microing the earth pet to root CC stuff but that didn't work too long hehe.
I do want to spend some time in Mistmoore and Sol B on some of them. Or we may just make another pair to take that route.

Truthfully I would just drop the idea of the Mage combo. No CC sucks because most of the good loot is in dungeons and they suck at that aspect.
Chanter/Cleric is pretty crazy duo. Not much they can't do even against non un-dead. Nice thing also about duo is you can go off on your own at times and easily get a group or even solo. The Cleric is not bad solo till like 35ish. Plus you have rez on the Cleric. Enchanters do die lol.
But the Iksar Kunark leveling path is pretty nice. It is a path a lot of people have NEVER experienced and there are a lot of kool zones. Problem is Kunark mobs have a LOT more HP than Classic zones. So with the Ikky XP penalty and harder mobs it is a bigger challenge. And a SK is really not known for a LOT of DPS. So will be slow. Something to consider in your decision. Would be better Shaman/Monk to be honest.

Yea I'm mainly looking for some ideas for 20-30 for the iksars as you said not many people experienced it. Iksar monks are very overused and neither of us are big fans of pure melee classes with no spells :/.
And mages I'm fine pulling out of dungeons to do open zones stuff if that's where they are best. Looking for ideas there as well.

20-23 Lake of Ill Omen
23-30 Warsliks Woods (giant fort)
(or off Kunark)
20-30 Unrest
or
20-24 Unrest
24-30 Mistmoore

I assume you are both fairly well geared from the druids. Your best bet with the shaman/SK combo is really going to be fear kiting so that the shaman can worry about DPS instead of slowing/healing. You can ride the WW giant fort out until 29, and if it's crowded try to get some people to join you for Dalnir. After that you could move to the FM giant fort. Once you get level 34 (and scourge) I would suggest moving to the Lost Valley in Dreadlands. The outpost is a nice, secluded spot with a lot of skeletons so that you can put the SK's 10 mana undead fear to use. You can get to 40 there and move on to CoM.
ETA: A bonus with the Lost Valley is that when it's time to med up you can run over to the druid rings and med there - you'll have a good chance of catching people coming through for clarity and other buffs.

Well A Mage is really no better outdoors than indoors lol. All they get every 4 levels pretty much is better pets and more things to summon. Food, Water, weapons etc. And a better Pet heal and say a better Damage Shield. Other than Mod Rods and the COTH spells their spells are pretty damn boring to look forward to.
You just have to have Gate ready ALL the time on them or J Boots to run like hell to ZL. But a Mage is damn powerful that is for sure if things don't get too hairy. Just hard to go deep into a dungeon because of a lack of CC.
I know that in like a KC group they can take on a Add and kill it faster than the rest of the group can kill the first one. Damn scary. They are that good.
