Would it require a P99 "app" of some kind? I'd recommend a keyboard add-on if you ever got it running on one :p

Cant even imagine how this would be even REMOTELY possible, unless you were using an app like Join me or something like that to run something that you already had going on a computer elsewhere..

what you saw was someone using an app like splash desktop to mirror it from the desktop to the phone. I looked into it ALOT at one point in time.

Dang that sucks... Looks like I need to buy me a laptop then. What's the population like on project 99? I'm a 14 year EQ player but never played on P99 would love to get to play old school EQ again.. Miss those days of the game

roughly 1k at peak hours. quite healthy for most populated zones but you can still find quiet spots to solo if you want. just about perfect if you ask me.

very healthy population. and alot of good people around.

EQ + Ipad = Windows surface pro. I have a buddy that runs P99 off one, it works great.

for the most part, depends on your playtime. Evenings us times IE 9pm est the server is usually over 1k and most exp zones are loaded with people.

easy to find groups and alot of people will toss you a few PP for starting up for spells and bags and stuff. Goes a long way to get you going for sure.

Big thing is start with a class that "CAN" solo if needed. I would not roll a warrior and think your going to take over the world right off the bat :)

I use splashtop to ec sell. But to actually play you would have to have a laptop at minimum. Splashtop is extremely hard to play on. Even with a keyboard. And you need a PC running it anyway.

yeah that way you could runit off a raspberry pi (winetastic)

No idea how smooth it would be......zone loading would be horrible unless you attach an external ssd.

Lots of info all over net about running games with R pi

How about using a remote desktop app like teamviewer? Then control a computer running p1999 from your ipad.

I often thought about setting it up to just track using my phone. Just remote to my desktop to log in to the tracker, and then only send the tracking window back to the phone. Bandwidth would be minimal, could have a hotbutton to spam guild and use Ventriloid to announce...

I use VNC and do this quite often. I've checked EC while stuck in traffic or spot checked mobs.

Immersion levels must be extreme to be sitting in your car, and then decide to play old mmo on your phone/whatever.

Just wow.
