Lowbie LFG (and /wave)

Just a quick note to say Hi to everyone on P99 and get some advise on lowbie zones.

Started a Barby Shaman last weekend and absolutely loving being back in a proper MMO. Highlight so far has to be seeing so many people in EC Tunnel actually talking and helping each other.

Currently reached level 7 and managed to get enough PP for a full set of banded armour and a nice Springwood Club.

So far ive soloed my way but am looking for some groups around my level (imho this is the whole point of EQ). Ive poked my nose into NRO but the zone was pretty much empty and EC Orcs seem to be always camped by PLers.

Can anyone recommend a zone for around my level (7 - 12) that is likely to have groups? Im thinking of heading over to GFAY and having a look around Crushbone.

Crushbone has lots of grouping going on, so does blackburrow trust me i know im started many classes already lol

7-12 as a shaman - CB is definitely a good choice as is Blackburrow if you ever get over in that direction.

Or try zoning into Nektulos from EC, turning right and doing the sinle pull undead in the corner there :)

I'm leveling a mage alt, and got frustrated with Blackburrow, as it was just higher levels running around killing greens and collecting gnoll fangs. At 10, I headed over to West Karana to kill bandits at the farm, then at 12 to a pure bandit camp. I made tons of xp just turning in sashes in Qeynos.

Steamfont Mountains is LOADED with mobs right now (shhh...our little secret), and is a perfect place to level up to 12 quickly either solo or in a group. Awesome zone too, one of the best in the game.

I think ill blag a port over to Faydwer tonight and have a poke around. Sounds like CB and Steamfont give good options for great groups and some solo action.
