View Full Version : good soloing for a druid at level 44

Hey all,

I was wondering what some good solo spots for a druid would be at 44? Trying to get to 46 asap. I love grouping but I rarely have time between being married and 19 credit hours this semester, so when I do get a chance to play I usually end up soloing so that I don't have to bail on a group randomly after only being with them for 30 minutes. Any good ideas? :) Also, does CoM have any solo spots?

Thanks!

As somebody who has spent almost 2 years as a level 45 druid, then VERY BRIEFLY spent 2 days as level 46 (before de-leveling back down solidly back into 45), I can confirm that you don't really need to go any further than level 45 in this game, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I mean at level 45 you can kill sand giants in Oasis. Which is the whole point of this game anyway.

So yeah for soloing at 44, come to the Oasis. You'll love it here. Sand Giants, Deepwater Goblins, and Spectres for all to enjoy!

See you there!

How do you actually pull Spectres there? That always eluded me :p

Honestly I've only done specs a couple of times and every time it scares the shit out of me. You gotta get real up close and personal to be able to *see* them to land anything. I prefer the deepwater goblins which are right next to the Spectres. The goblins are actually a lot harder than the specs: They cast and can hit pretty hard so you gotta root, dot, and get out of range. Also would be wise to have your best heal spell at the ready. But I actually like the goblins because they're an easier pull, yet they're challenging to fight, and there is never anybody fighting them.

Might have to give those guys a shot :)

Another warning about the gobs: They can root you, so have gate up as well. If they root you while you are underwater you will drown!!

Yeah you can Quad Giants and Spec's in Oasis. Takes balls though. Outside of CoM in EJ you can solo there also, as well as in CoM. Some mobs outside of KC also.

44, if you have some superior testicular fortitude, kedge keep is tough to beat exp and cash loot wise.

The entrance is greened out. But the 2nd floor and shark pits are solid exp. Learning how to do the 2nd floor then you can try cauldronboil room (3 shark), golden haired mermaid room (3-4 piranha), frenzied room (4-5 shark), patriarch room (2 seahorse, 1 shark), ferocious (1shark). When you get more comfortable you can invis to seahorse caves and start off with undertows chamber (2-3 seahorses)... Seahorse cave itself you really want a few more levels before solo breaking though.

Grab a Fishbone earring from Hadden if Nuffeins every stops being automated. And check it out IMO.

I'll be your best friend if you take me to Kedge and show me how to not die.

Second vote for Butcherblock dwarves.

The two on the docks and the two in the huts are all on their own faction separate from Kaladim. Quad them right under the guards' noses and they won't touch you.

Respawn time is like 21 minutes though. I did random chores around the house to avoid wife aggro in between quads.

Perma you can start a 52. Becomes easier at 53 and really easy at 56.

There's another set of 3 (Delin Ironblend, etc) in a house by the coast plus a 4th for the quad near the tower with the High Elf merchant. They are also on a faster spawn time than the 4 on the dock.

There's even a merchant in the house by Delin to sell all the Bronze axes and Ringmail to.

Level 44-51 I quadded Bloodgill Goblins in LoIO.

Always have levitate on. Stock bat wings at the Inn in EC.

Wolf form yourself.

Swim out to the 'barely drowned' platform. You can sit and med up on this platform in the 1ft of water and afk med there between quads to clean, pay bills, etc.

The trick is that once you swim up to the surface of the water with levitate on, your swimming skill won't matter. You'll lev-run with sow across the water surface.

There are two goblins under the barely-drowned platform, and two near the bottom of the tower-spire-thing nearby. (You can try Harmonizing for a clean pull until you are used to it.)

Once you are comfortable, the process is this - go underwater.. snare one goblin, and be prepared to immediately target the other. Once snared, target the other and haul ass for the surface of the water.. run a ways, and cast snare on the next. Then run back over to the spire and do the same quickly with those two goblins before the two snared ones catch up to you.

Run over to the waterbank and sit/med until they all come out of the water. Circle Circle, run along the water bank quadding.

Once you hit 45, if you have 5kpp lying around or a friend who will let you borrow their Luminescent Staff - get one. You can alternate your real nuke and the Lumi Staff as you quad.

At Level 49 or 50, I was snare-pulling ALL 12 goblins up on the shore.. With the help of the Lumi Staff I would be able to nuke them all down before ensnare faded, 4-at-a-time. (It's hard to find all 12 spawns un-camped however.)

I have to warn you, after you do this camp and get 51 in a matter of days - you'll mourn that speed of exp for the rest of your journey up to 60. It will all seem painfully slow.

Good Luck

I used to run the Spec's around the lake close to the water. No adds.

Bloodgills have got to be the best xp at this level for a quadding class. Good advice here but my method was basically this:
-Bind on the west side of the lake by the line of pillars that drifts off into the lake.
-Snare goblins in groups of 4 (at 49 you should be able to pull all 12 at once)
-Gate and wait. You know the rest.

Heck yeah these guys were so much fun on live. Then everyone found out, they got camped 24/7, and then Sony mega-nerfed them to give like no xp or loot. Sigh bitter times.

Didn't read so might have been posted already....but dwarves at the docks. I did 44~ to 50 on a druid there quadding. High ZEM due to dwarf noobie zone...easy to pull, vender right there.
