EQ PvP is great. I wish there was a guild PvP or team based PvP server. I'd be there in a heartbeat. It feels like a more natural/appropriate way to settle disputes than nerd raging on RnF.

That said, there is nothing wrong with making the best use of your gear to make yourself the most efficient player possible.

Offhand is only about ratio.

With that said. SCD has the same ratio & the stats won't matter at 60 while the SCD gives you better saves, so at the high-end its better. While leveling up and you don't have access to raid-buffs the extra Str will give you a minor advantage. Not big enough to be worth spending an extra 50k in my opinion though.

The only other class that would really want to use this would be rangers and for them it's the best there is until VP/Epic/Sky 2.0. BOTGDE comes close though for 1/3rd the cost.

And doing this research i realized the fayguard parrying dagger is probably the best main-hand DPS for a ranger (ignoring the lol-get-me-killed proc). I've now made it my mission to get one of these on a level 1 ranger.

Well like I said I roll with RB offhand. So even better ratio.

I would still maintain based on the limited studying I've done of EoN vs croaking dirk tells me that the faster weapon is better. Either weapon isn't a terrible choice but based on my experience, I much prefer the dirk.

Yeah but that's due to the dmg/delay ratio being better to the dirk. That slower speed doesn't matter at that point.

When your duelist offhand hits for 200s let me know why faster is better

During a 12 second duelist cycle you would get 6 rounds of offhand attacks with a 19 delay weapon. With a 26 delay weapon that is only 4 rounds. That that's up to 4 extra swings with duelist dmg. I think the highest hit I've seen with offhand is 140ish. So for shits and grins let's say that all hits are max dmg. 6 rounds of 140 dmg with all dbl attacks going is 1680 dmg. With 4 rounds at 200 that same calculation gives you 1600 dmg.
Not a huge difference but it's something.

Don't get mesmerized by the big numbers. Speed kills.
