probably 27-30, i would be careful tho if u have no sow.. they hit pretty hard

also if u can charm Captain Bosec (http://wiki.project1999.com/Captain_Bosec), he can dispatch of the regular guards quite efficiently

I'm relatively new to the enchanter class, but I learn quickly. Will it be possible to sell to the merchants? Or will I have to hoof it somewhere else when I want to sell? Will sow pots lower the level that I should attempt to kill guards?

You might have trouble selling, but you only need to get up from dubious with the merchants, so I don't remember if your faction adjusting spells are enough. Maybe it was possible with a combo of alliance spells and illusions, but I forget.

yes there is a merchant in a hidden room that sells enchanter pet spells, standing next to a bard. these 2 dudes are on ro faction/bard faction(iirc?)

sow will lower the level, because if u get bad resists you can get away. charming anything higher level than a white con always scares me.

that being said, i once ran into a lvl 27 enchanter soloing HGs in rathe but he had jboots. so its doable, just depends on your gear/gusto.

the front courtyard would be a good place for you to start, i would think.. just to test out the waters. give your charmed pet a torch (http://wiki.project1999.com/Torch) as it will force double attack on each swing. its an exploit, but once you see the dps you will understand.

also you can uncharm your pet and memblur him, this will make the mob regen health at 5% per tick(iirc) thus allowing you to save items/buffs u give to him. just dont buff him with MR, lmao.

Sweet. So I should keep Bozo as a pet and not worry about the exp penalty for pet DPS > 50%?

i guess that depends on how important the xp is to you.. i rarely solo for xp

Also, as far as pets, when you get up to 34 use Mistress Anna as your charm.
And like Phace said: no MR buff! Guards worldwide a,lready have insane MR.

Charming a single pet and buffing/weaponizing it is doing it wrong.

Best way to kill guards in HHK is charm 2 closely leveled guards and let them battle until both low, then break charm and kill them both for 2x 100% exp.

You definitely can't charm Bozec or Mistress Anna at level ~30 to let them kill guards, since they would be way red to you.

As long as Osgaren is blue you should be fine; think he's 22? Just give him a torch/lute and go to town.

Only gotta move into melee range for 1 round every ~10 seconds or however long it takes backstab to recycle.

You'd have to tank or recruit a tank/healer to make use of his backstabs though.True. But usually there are other players down in the basement. You can make a viable group with almost any other class, though healer is best.
