View Full Version : Rise of patheon rewards seem easily abused

I think the staff need to reconsider the rewards for donating to the kickstart program. Seems that it might not make the goal and makes it ripe for people to donate knowing well they will not have to pay anything. It least make the donation date end 7 days before the kickstart program ends so some people will not know whether they are pleading money that they might not see again.

Plenty of people donate at the last 24 hours though. Why count them out?

Part of me is tempted to drop 400k to fuck the people who think they can make ridiculous pledges they won't need to honor. The other rationale part of me says LOL no

Kickstarter doesn't accept EMU Platinum or blooming onions for funding.

How about just remove the p99 rewards all together, I'll definitely be ok with that. I still want Pantheon to succeed no matter what and I'm confident it will get funded. Brad and team could fund the difference I'm hoping if it comes down to it, I would do it in a heart beat if I had it to spare. These people saying that P99 staff could be offered jobs when the game is being created as a kickback.... I HOPE SO! (screw you haters). In 3 years if I'm still playing this game I think I'll slit my wrists unless Luclin/PoP is being worked on! I want to be playing Pantheon instead.

Server staff doesnot give a **** as was apparent when they decided to impliment these reards and continue to offer the rewards after a very vocal backlash in the original thread by many passionate and long time players of the server, let thread die and move on.

They could easily have a big investor(s) standing by to close the difference at the end or fund out of their own pocket to avoid losing all previously pledged money.

Can't the creators of the kickstarter dump in the final amount of money (if they have it) to make the goal or is that not allowed?

I don't think they care if a project fails or succeeds, they just care about kickstart, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Either way let's see what happens at the very end then we can all stop guessing.

I do hope it succeeds though because I'd hate to try this game out in 3 years from an investor's point of view.

In the pantheon comments section, someone wrote:

"The only reason I'm posting this is to get a straight answer about this Kickstarter, right now. I know that if it doesn't go through, they will approach other avenues for funding, that has been answered many times."

So if that is true then failing the kickstarter wouldnt necessarily mean that the project wont be funded.

"News about what we are planning is coming. If this does not get funded you will have your chance to help us still and this was just one of the options we were looking into in order to get this thing made."

This was posted by the PR devs not long ago in the KS comments. So there will be other ways to fund this. I don't think they are gonna let this project slip into nothing...well i'm am hoping.

It would make it harder to find funding than say a successful kickstart under your belt.

The kickstarter is going to fail anyway so this is a pointless thread.

This whole mess has put me in a really weird position.

I want the kickstarter to fail so all the silly early velious access and item reward stuff doesn't happen on P99. But I also want the kickstarter to succeed in case Pantheon is actually good.

Swish

If you want it to succeed it doesn't hurt to pledge. People sitting on the sidelines hoping it'll get funded but not backing it are what'll cause it to fail.

Sucks that so many people interested in pantheon are broke. Fuck I would be bummed if I honestly couldn't afford to shell out 50-100 for something I cares about.
