Saw the thread about Luclin as next expansion, and that got to me pondering how in the hell do you pronounce the damn thing?
Is it pronounced " Loose - Lin " or " Luck - Lin "
Debate - "on"...:D

Anything other than Luck-Lin and the tolerable Look-lin makes you an inbred mongoloid who should brush up on his English.

I pronounce it LOO - KLIN which is missing from your poll.

How do you pronounce Lucy?
L-U-C-Y = LOO - SEE.
Yes it's a soft C but these are proper names. Lucy, Luke, Luis etc. all use the LOO sound so it's only natural for me to pronounce Luclin with LOO.

You pronounce it as a soft C when followed by a vowel, Y dances on the blades edge, so your example is moot.
Out of the options he listed, I see no issue with yours =P you're still pronouncing the hard C like it's supposed to be.

Luck-lin, but I can tolerate Luke-lin.
That S sound needs to go.

My examples are about the Lu not the C. There's no doubt it's a hard C, but some people pronounce the Lu like in luck and some like in luke. I'm showing examples of names, which is what Luclin is, where Lu is LOO.
Who cares anyway.

Obviously we do...but about your LU thing, thought I made it clear by saying that your pronunciation was fine by saying I had no issues with it. Just thought you were defending the soft C with the LUCY(which is soft example) which is all I was commenting on.
And I'm more bored at work than anything. Foot of snow and bunch of pussies couldn't drive their asses in to the office...should have brought my laptop and played a bit.
Those rules are nowhere near all-encompassing, especially when it comes to made up words. I'm pretty sure I saw in an interview or something somewhere, that the devs intended it to be "Luck-lin" or something awful like that, and they pronounced it that way.
That pronunciation is more in line with English I think, but it just sounds so fucking bad. So I read/say it as 'loose-lin' anyway. Deal with it
