Problem is this is an emulator, and there's potential legal issues if P99 hosted a torrent or provided the discs free to download etc.

It's down to the user to search far and wide (or pay $100 etc).

I think it would probably work out faster for you to go the other non cd route in the above link than us sending you the discs anyway.. in either case you're partaking in something that isn't buying the discs so may as well take the more efficient route imo

I hope one day the smart side of you comes to the understanding that you are talking to a community of close to 3000+ computer geniuses that look down upon people that demand to be spoon fed basic computer 101 in the year 2014. If you are able to spend enough time on the internet to come across EQEMU, P99, or anything that directed you to this page then you meet all the required qualifications to perform the task you have demanded by yourself.

While I am glad to see you have interest in this project the way you have gone about asking, demanding, and calling everyone dicks because you are to lazy to do some forum searches or even post in the right thread earns you the right to be flamed and bashed without a second thought.

That said, I hope you do get it working. I will be looking for you in EC demanding your free entitled handouts of gear because you dont want to take the time to get then on your own.

That I do not understand. If it's ok to host the server and it's fairly obvious that Trilogy box is nothing more than a collector's item - rather than a legitimate way to obtain the LIVE version of EverQuest, then why would P99 giving out precompiled data /discs be a problem?

The server hosting coding is owned by the people running the emu. Sony does not own that code (Sony v. Bleem; Sony lost; 3 times).

Distributing the game that Sony still owns, however ancient? That's a no-no.
