TMO follows the rules they don't so thats why they get suspended.

There were only a handful of accounts that were used to perform the exploit, however, the exploiters have logged into 106 different accounts in total. Of these accounts, 86 of them are guilded in The Mystical Order.

It is based on that information that we are raid suspending the guild for 2 weeks. We brought up the possibility of completely disbanding The Mystical Order. Personally, I find it hard to believe that TMO leadership was not aware or suspicious of this happening, however we are only able to take action on the information we have.

Raid Scene
It continues to be an aggravating realization among CSR staff that 10% of the server population causes 90% of the problems. We are all for competition, but it needs to be fair competition. We are also all here for the same thing, to experience classic Everquest. The same guild monopolizing raid content for 2 years that they might not even need anymore is ridiculous, just to block other guilds from the chance of gearing up to take on the same end game content.

I was thinking to myself the other day and I came to ask myself.. Are we providing this server to give people the arena to compete to such bitter extremes that it has resorted to taking every absolute measure to be victorious, or are we here to provide a classic Everquest experience for everyone to enjoy?

Don't think that this means you can continue shitting on each other and just not petition, the staff will still be watching.

Starting today and then evaluated when Velious is released the CSR staff will be keeping track of how the raid guilds are treating eachother. If we do not see a significant improvement in the behavior of the raiding guilds and how they treat eachother, Velious will be released without raid content. To be clear, we want an enjoyable raid scene for everyone, not just one or two guilds. This means working together to figure out a compromise when racing for mobs, and working with smaller guilds to let them have a chance at mobs you don't absolutely need for gearing main characters.

Sounds like you never played classic EQ. This is a PvE game, sure, but there are multiple guilds that want the loots. As I recall, majority of servers weren't carebear bullshit, they competed by RACING to the mob and KILLING it before the other guild. They did NOT wait until a Tuesday at 6pm and expect the mobs to be there for them, like some guilds do now.

And that's what you have your 66% for. The rest can leisurely kill dragons in Class R because Rogean would like P99 " to provide a classic Everquest experience for everyone to enjoy." For some, myself included, its not about the best pixels or the cleanest kills. Its about killing the raid mob as defensive wears out, wiping and trying again and getting the boss down, and making memories "you remember that one time..." When I leave EQ, as I did the first time, I can't take the pixels with me. You play your way, I'll play mine, but don't get upset because I play with different intentions than yours. As Ute was proclaiming the entire negotiation process, Class R is not trying to impose their system on Class C, we just want a space where we can do our own thing. Only Class C is hell-bent on imposing their will on others; schadenfreude.

For that, I recommend a PVP game, like Counterstrike.

There are two basic kinds of players. One group wants to do its own thing and not fuss much over what other folks do. The other group follows the mantra of, "For me to win, others must lose." These two groups typically don't coexist happily in a single game.

A game like Ultima Online tended to harbor the latter group but not the former. Something like Warcraft appeals more to the former. EQ is a bit strange because it draws in both types to some degree, which fuels much of the arguing and drama EQ is known for.

Having 50 fully charged mallets and 10 SoulFires per raid. Every rogue having their epic since level 20, every cleric having theirs since level 30, every shaman having theirs since level 50. Everyone having full sets of Resist gear and Shaman resist potions. Everyone has a charged WC cap to mobilize quickly. Everyone has a decent Internet connection. You aren't having 5-6 people LD due to AEs or lots of levitating PCs.

Everyone has access to 10-40 hot buttons, not limited to 6 like God intended. Everyone can play in 3rd person scroll wheel view unlike classic. Makes pulling far easier. Everyone has vent/TS -- although I still think voice chat for raids is dumb, learn2type and compartmentalize. Everyone has multiple max level toons to swap based on raid needs. Less "well shit half our clerics aren't here tonight, I guess we will try with a 3 cleric CH chain", more "you five dudes load up your cleric bot and 8 cleric CH chain this".

BDA will be able to kill most everything. AoW, and maybe one or two of the NToV dragons excluded. Tunare isn't shit, just a matter of having 6 hours to clear trash. Isn't that what TMO had in VP for the last year and a half? :rolleyes:We still had people training our raids and wiping us in VP up until Christmas, so it wasn't ~that~ easy. Not my fault the opposition crumbled (maybe it was indirectly). TMO competed extremely hard to get where it is. We were on the losing end quite a bit in the earlier days of Kunark, up to the point where IB left... and then sporadically when BDA & FE got some enthusiasm. FE put up a great fight and was attempting dragons in VP through their whole existence really. Nothing was "handed" to TMO as in the ridiculously easy way class R works. For us VP almost always had trainers, and apart from the occasional tracker fail on like Tal or Draco, every other target was a race, always.

Having 50 fully charged mallets and 10 SoulFires per raid. Every rogue having their epic since level 20, every cleric having theirs since level 30, every shaman having theirs since level 50. Everyone having full sets of Resist gear and Shaman resist potions. Everyone has a charged WC cap to mobilize quickly. Everyone has a decent Internet connection. You aren't having 5-6 people LD due to AEs or lots of levitating PCs.

Everyone has access to 10-40 hot buttons, not limited to 6 like God intended. Everyone can play in 3rd person scroll wheel view unlike classic. Makes pulling far easier. Everyone has vent/TS -- although I still think voice chat for raids is dumb, learn2type and compartmentalize. Everyone has multiple max level toons to swap based on raid needs. Less "well shit half our clerics aren't here tonight, I guess we will try with a 3 cleric CH chain", more "you five dudes load up your cleric bot and 8 cleric CH chain this".

BDA will be able to kill most everything. AoW, and maybe one or two of the NToV dragons excluded. Tunare isn't shit, just a matter of having 6 hours to clear trash. Can't wait to see P99 people try to kite the whole zone and claim "dood it's classic suck less I totally did this back in 2001". Lolno. I hope you get rooted and die horribly

Here's kinda the funny thing... When Durison and I got together and did the whole TMO/Ascention merger I was privy to quite a bit of material that none of them even thought of showing to you. In fact there was even a special user group and forum dedicated to "some" of what we had been brooding about. You know that usergroup, "Pickle" ? yeah, that was there for a reason, and quite a bit disappeared before you even became marginally important to the guild.

You always told me that Zeelot and I were 'out of touch', that's probably true- and that's why this "The Mystical Order" is not anything that could actually be considered such. The reason the officer structure existed was to keep these silly cliques as a non-issue.

As soon as Zeelot became "out of touch" with TMO, it stopped being TMO.

No classic officers or guildleaders remain, even Eccezan who actually formed the guild was forced out because "No-one liked him". He was for the merger and when he moved over he was told his services were no longer needed.

I didn't know you guys as well then, but it soon became apparent that I was mixed up with the two most imbalanced people from TMO. I'm not talking up the few things I fixed back then because I'm not delusional about what I've done - I made a couple of simple fixes. Yet here you are clinging to a single change you made 8 years ago while not even being able to remember what exactly it was, and not even knowing if the change actually is still in eqemu.
