*DRUNK* lvl1 race across Kelethin?

I just spent a few nights in Kelethin, and it reinvigorated my passion for this zone and this city in particular. It was my bona fide home on Live, and it has been a headquarters of sorts for me again, now on p99.

To celebrate this fertile nest of Norrath, I'd love to get together a fun, light-hearted event that we can all enjoy together, and maybe it'll get some of you exploring this fantastic atmospheric zone more than you have before?

Here's the concept:

Level 1 Nakeds only! No lev allowed! Must bind at the starting line. Must be drunk to the point that you cannot drink any more at the start of the race. We'll have a bunch of coolers at the starting line, and we will be handing out more booze when you die and re-spawn (which I imagine will happen a ton).

Here's an example race course:

1. Go from the bottom of the Orc Lift to the Druid Guild

2. /bonk so-and-so event organizer #1 (who will be there waiting). This organizer will hand you a [specific item].


3. Run to the Rogue Guild


4. /dance with so-and-so #2, then hand-in the [specific item] that you got from so-and-so #1


First person to accomplish both tasks (in order) gets X pp / fun prize
Secondplace gets Y pp / less-fun (but still fun) prize
Third place, etc...

Kelethin is a crazy city with more than 1 way to get to places (sometimes), so there could be different approaches to accomplishing the race.

The race details would be announced ~1 week in-advance to give folks a chance to check out their path ahead of time.

Aiming to have this drunk Kelethin race the weekend of June 21st (a Saturday) or June 22nd (a Sunday). I'll post confirmation as soon as a day/time is selected.

In the past month, I have sold enough meals and desserts that I can bankroll some prizes, however nothing more than ~1k plat for first place (unless extra financial assistance is attained and we can grow the prize pool).

PM me if you'd like to donate to the pool, or if you'd like to help manage and execute the event! I'll need folks at checkpoints, as well as people to help bind/hand-out beer at the starting line.

I can try to be there to help out as an organizer, GG. Having organized and ran several Everquest Marathon events in the past, I'd love to lend a hand here as well.

It would be great to see some more community members donate their time/pp/items to this - these events are always fun, attract new players, and give current players the memory of a fun event to cherish here on Project 1999.
