Has anyone played Richard Garriott's pre-alpha game?

Looks like they raised 333k last month, has anyone been part of the crowdfunding and taken part of the pre-alpha releases and played the game a little bit? Curious if anyone had anything good to say about it. I almost died when I saw they added the Coconuts mount when they apologized about not being able to add in the real mounts yet (anyone who saw the movie Monty Python you know what this is, lol). That has got to be an aprils fools joke.

The turn-based combat should be interesting.

I enjoyed playing Might and Magic Legacy X on Steam, which is also turn-based.
