View Full Version : Druid Root Overrides Snare?

This was NEVER the case on Live. If you root a target that is snared, it would never remove the snare effect. Kind of hard to play the game as a kiting class when you go to root a mob, snare removes, and the mob charges full speed ahead at you as a leather wearer. Can you please make the proper changes to this so it works properly. Thank You!

IIRC it actually was like this on live, and it wasn't changed so that they would stack until Velious. I might be wrong though.

Druid / Necro epics get to suck a lot less in velious. It's a good thing.

It was that way for a few years... far from NEVER

Previously, 'Root' spells would overwrite any snare effect upon the target. When the root would wear off, the target began moving at full speed. With this change, when root wears off, snare will still be in effect. This has a few added effects on the other end.

sorry but you dont seem as 'oldschool' as your name suggests.
Root/Snare never stacked until Velious.
If Root/Snare stacking is 'classic' to you then you will be solely disappointed with many other 'unclassic' features you may experience.

Seconded! =D
Like many others have already said, root will overwrite snare until Velious comes out! Druid life will be so much better! =D

April 1 is just amateur hour for people who aren't funny the other 364 days of the year.

Indeed, they did overwrite on classic for a while. It will be nice to have them stack.

When they stacked, it was generally my experience that the snare spell would run out prior to the root lifting, so they would tear at me as soon as root broke anyway. Just plan ahead for it to happen and prepare for your first move as soon as root breaks.
