This causes players to lose their sow no matter how deep you put it or how well you protect your buffs.

Please fix this.

Scale of Wolf is the level 24 shaman spell that is
faster than Spirit of Wolf but which now has been
fixed to only wear off if you turn it off or if
you cast or attack something. Being attacked will
not turn it off. You must be grouped with someone
to cast it on them. The only place that I know
for certain this is available is from the shaman
spell merchant in Fironia who also has some of the
50+ spells. I am guessing evil races can get it
somewhere, too, perhaps in the Overthere city.

this is one of those things that just doesn't need proof... like if Invisibility spells started acting this way

I think this is not entirely accurate. Being attacked will turn it off but only ranged and spell attacks.

Dev Patch Notes:

* Scale of Wolf and Spirit of Scale will no longer be canceled by being
the target of a melee attack. Ranged attacks and spells will still
cancel the spell.
