Hey guys, i recently found out about this little gem called Fires of Heaven. Its a progression server that unlocks content as the playerbase kills the progression targets. Ill list below some of the features of the server and hope you decide to join us.

Server Progression - Live or Die Together.

X1 Exp Rates - No getting to max level in 1 sitting here, gotta work for it.

Boxing Unlimited - This may change down the road. I personally would like to see a 2 box cap.

Live Like Raid Bosses - Bosses that Require Decently Geared Players.

Newbie Armor Quests - Activated In Game.

Mercenaries - Work and are in every home town.

NO DROP TAG REMOVED - EVERYTHING IS TRADEABLE.

Swish boxing without mq is just not going to happen. Mq is a fantastic tool and people who think its for the haxxors clearly have never used it.

In a group or raid MQ will play your toons better than you (hit cooldowns faster, use more abilities in more efficient orders etc.) (soure: non-99 playing experience)

MQ+a text document=Everfarmville, check back in 5-6 hrs to spend those aa's/sell your loots (sell your crops)

and with mercs? Could just set up a 3 box with 3 mercs only have to MQ on 3/6 :p

1 boxing definitely perferable for actually playing the game imo

Looks like what the SOE live is doing with progression servers, only with a few exceptions. Those servers tend to die out after GoD gets released though.

I hardly know anyone who didn't quit EQ with GoD, no surprise that expansion also ends progression servers.

Most progression servers tend to have a x3 exp rate or better, this one is x1. Mobs are live like to so there isent goning to be no uber fast progression here.

Everything being tradeable is a perk to me, so to each there own i guess.

the most powerful twink items in this game are tradeable. Do you think a melee with a twinked planar BP is going to perform better than with a fungi tunic?

Its a x1 server people arent going to be poop socking twink items? This isent p99. Content unlocks for the server, not the individual player. Again how does this in anyway make removing no drop tags bad? Give me 1 example, just 1.

Are mercenaries working? Are they obtainable at level 1? The Guardsman tells me to right click on her, but it doesn't bring up any menu

You can get a merc in any hometown, should be able to use the find hotkey to locate the npc, if you find one is not working make a bug report on the forums.

Make sure the client you are using is compatible, I downloaded the one off of the site he said he is working with (ROF) titanium client does not have mercenary capability.

Yeah he needs to change that, ROF is a terrible client. You should really have a copy of Underfoot, for everything but p99.

Playing on FV server was hugely fun, not sure why people think its somehow odd.. nothing should be no drop.

Its a brand new server, less then a week old, only 1 GM. Not sure what you expected tbh, i just gave a basic outline of the server.

I made my own personal server once using AxClassic. I had a full group of Mercs that leveled with me. It became very boring as each fight lasted the exact same amount of time and my involvement was not even necessary. The reason P99 is somewhat fun to play is because you have to solo or find a group with characters probably controlled by humans which in turn leads to errors or unexpected actions which equals excitement. Boxing might be somewhat interesting because I would be controlling the characters, but robot mercs - nah dog.

You dont have to use a merc lol, box your own characters. There is already an active population growing and as soon as we get in the same level range .i expect people to stop useing mercs and enjoy teaming up together.

i'm super confused about why the GM is using the name Furor and has a picture of Alex himself as his profile picture

i mean, i suppose it could really be Mr. Afrasabi? but i just presume the real Furor is too busy doing WoW stuff to be involved in an EQ Emu server.
