Jesus, didn't realize Dark Souls 2 wasn't out for PC yet. I might grab a copy even though I have beaten it on 360 already. PC always ends up being better.

Nirgon/Gyno, you two pretty hardcore with Dark Souls and have a plan on soul level cap yet or do you just level up as high as possible? If I get the PC edition I will probably cap in the 80s this time around. Pretty sure I can beat all content at that soul level.

Only two types of people give a flying fuck about red history: the people who have been here for ages and consider "history" to be how everyone they aren't fond of exploited/cheated/hacked/otherwise ruined the server, and the people who are playing on blue.

No number of changes by server staff will help this server if you guys can't give up this "history" shit.

sl doesn't mean much, soul memory does. and once you're in ng+, everybody is in same pool (coop pvp etc). so really no point in not lvling higher.

Ahh cool, didn't realize that when leveling up the first time, but I guess my soul level and soul memory were both on pace with each other so I wouldn't have.

That disappoints me actually. Part of the fun was trying to beat the game and do as much as I could at a low soul level. Now I guess it is pointless. The game is actually pretty easy compared to how tough DS1 was for me.

We were just talking about how the system works for linking you up to other players for summons/invades. I thought it was determined by your soul level but Gyno filled me in that it depends on the total amount of souls your character has accumulated over the life of your character. So basically there is no point to sand bag your soul level to stay in a lower bracket.
